Another vote for Elodie! I also love Claudia and Francesca.

For a boy I love Alexander, Patrick and Guy.

VivienneDelacroix · 02/03/2026 17:51

Teleri. But it needs to properly pronounced in a Welsh accent.

BillieWiper · 02/03/2026 17:51

Sky Adventure. It was the name my mum said she thought I'd name my child if I could have one. 😂
I probably would've done tbh and it would have been her fault!

FuckRealityBringMeABook · 02/03/2026 17:52

Rohaise. Met one once. Gorgeous name

We've got a fabulous David Austin rose called Eglantyne - what's more it has the loveliest smell of any rose I know.

I think Benedict is beautiful, both in how it sounds and how it looks written down. And it means 'blessed', which I love.
Along similar lines, Grace; I'm not Christian, or religious in any way, but I love the quality of grace as an idea.

I also love weird Shakespeare names, especially Lysander for a boy and Hero for a girl.

Egg-luhn-tine - to rhyme with 'seen' at the end. Means 'sweet briar' if memory serves. A bit like Augustine.

yes "eglantine" is another word for sweetbriar.

When I did my French degree, I'm sure I learned that eglantine means honeysuckle

Eglantine is dog rose and rosehip. Honeysuckle is chèvrefeuille or goat leaf. Not a great name 😄

Tirzah.

It’s in the Bible somewhere. I really like it, but the person I know who’s name it is absolutely hated it.

24kPalamino · 02/03/2026 18:01

I really like Sophie, Rachael and Zoe for girls. Very classic and beautiful. I hate novelty or made up sounding names.

For boys I like Charles, Jacob and Nate.

LasVegass · 02/03/2026 18:05

Eloise
artemis
olympia
eliana

VivienneDelacroix · 02/03/2026 18:06

For boys I love the sound of Timothée - pronounced correctly the French way. Sadly Chalamet has allowed people to mispronounce his name, so most people would say Timothy.

I also love Laurie and Tristan.

GreyhoundLurcher · 02/03/2026 18:06

I knew a beautiful lady from trindad - her name was Petal. How spectacularly perfect!!!

KnickerlessParsons · 02/03/2026 18:06

I love the name Angharad. DH wouldn’t let me use it ☹️

urghhh47 · 02/03/2026 18:07

2 of my daughter's are called Olympia and Ennea (E-nay-a) I get compliments about both their names.

Lakesideblue · 02/03/2026 17:39

How did she pronounce it if you don’t mind me asking?
I say Adaleen, but I usually hear it said Adalyne.

She pronounced it "A-da-lyne" but I've got to admit, when I see the name "Adelina" which is only one letter different, I think "A-da-leena".

A character in a Terry Pratchett book, but I seem to remember she wasn't very nice.
