What are the current “naughty boy/girl” names?

i know there’s been threads like this done before I read some from 20 years ago when I was a kid myself. Obviously baby naming has changed a lot since then.
Because there will undoubtedly be someone who says this is mean spirited then this is your warning to not bother reading it.

I’m curious to see if my kids names come up because they did on a few of the old threads 😂. Comments from teachers especially welcome

Twenty years ago I remember a teacher friend, at the end of her tether, crying out in exasperation, "well, they named their child Nathan, what did they expect?!"
Are there any Nathan's still running around schools? Other than the teachers, I mean.

I remember in one of my first teaching jobs in about 1972 there was an Archibald, his mother didn't allow anyone, including the boy, to shorten it to Archie, he hated his name and was a very unhappy 11 year old, He'll be well over 60 now, hopefully he's managed to shorten his name!

The thing is at 60 you could easily go bald, and be called Archibald. Imagine.

So many unique names here that surely people cannot know enough of kids with these names to label them "naughty" ??

Ayden, Jayden, Kayden, Braydon, Hayden
Brody, Jesse, Beau
Roman, Jensen, Mason
Lachlan

I know zero kids with most of these names!!

Edited

Three of my grandsons' names are listed above, two currently doing well at university and were never in trouble at school. One is still at school and doing fine.

As a teacher I know that the idea of 'naughty boy names' is nonsense.

Bloozie · 28/01/2026 16:33

Harvey. I've not met a well-behaved Harvey.

Round here Archie is a very upper middle class name, def not one I would put on that list!

You don’t think upper middle class kids are naughty?

You got two of my 4 boys with your list. They are not even remotely naughty, sometimes I wish they were a bit cheekier! They are like two grumpy old men. My youngest has a very unusual name and he makes up for the lack of cheek from his older 3 brothers. 😂

I don't really think they are naughty childrens names. I was just trying to balance out this snobby thread.

My DH wouldn’t allow me to call our DS Sebastian because he said every Sebastian he’s ever met was an absolute arsehole. He went to private school so knew a few - definitely no Sebastian’s in my school!

I’ve noticed the kids with diminutives as their actual name tend to be little gits so Alfie, Reggie, Archie etc.

My Dd’s name has been mentioned and she’d be absolutely mortified! She’s a stickler for the rules, very well behaved and hard working. The other names I agree with though….😁

Yea and mine! I’ve got a Mia & I’ve just had an email to say she’s wonderful to teach & she’s won an award for art-I wouldn’t take it too seriously tbf 😆

MissRaspberry · 28/01/2026 16:51

I want to know if the OP is a Katie Hopkins fan and is looking out for the "naughty" names to see which kids and parents to avoid on the school run 🤣🤣

Indeed. Just spotted one ‘influencer’ with both. Good luck to her!!!
