I'm a fan of the classics. Alice is lovely.

Apart from Elizabeth and perhaps Rose, Alice feels about as classic and timeless as you can get imo. So it’s a yay from me as a “can’t go wrong” name (well like others I do prefer the Alys spelling, but that will just be a hassle unless you live in Wales).

I love it,it was my lovely late DM.. Alice Isobel, my cousin 97 was Isobel,died last year. Neither were ever shortened..my parents gave me a name you cannot shorten, I grew up, your name is your name,end of. Neighbours baby is Alice.
