I am pregnant with twins and we found out today that it is 2 girls!

We have a good list of names, but I’m keen to hear thoughts and opinions about our top choices!

For info, our surname is double barrelled and due to family etc, middle names will be Rose and Jean - but it is first names we are trying to decide on!

Florence
Ottilie
Penelope
Tabitha
Violet
Tallulah
Pandora
Arabella

Thanks all!!

Violet Rose
Penelope Jean

Heartbreaking2000 · 24/12/2025 20:56

Beautiful. Congratulations.
I like Ottilie and Violet together as the letters are all so similar.
Ottilie Rose and Violet Jean

I really dislike Pandora - I know one - she’s known as “Pandy” and it just really gives me the ick 🙈
Also Tallulah - it’s a name that only works on a certain type of person and if your not a tiny girly dancey type it just seems at odds

Violet is my favourite - also like Florence and Ottilie

If I had twin girls, I would call them Willow and Rowan.

thebeautifulsky · 24/12/2025 20:59

Arabella Rose - a beautiful combination imo
Penelope Jean - a close second

Congratulations!

Rosamunday · 24/12/2025 21:01

Pandora Rose
Arabella Jean

HoorayHattie · 24/12/2025 21:01

I like

Tabitha Rose
Tallulah Jean

but if you don't want the same 1st initial, how about

Arabella Jean
Tabitha Rose

Congratulations!

bevelino · 24/12/2025 21:02

Naomi and Ruth

ilovepixie · 24/12/2025 21:03

May Rose
June Jean

TheTowerAtMidnight · 24/12/2025 21:07

All of those names, except maybe Violet, are far too much with a double barrelled surname IMO. You need shorter, less fancy names more along the lines of Emily/Sophia/Lucy/Clara etc.

Mangomintmama · 24/12/2025 21:13

If I had twin girls I would call them Wren & Orla.
I like short names for girls. Saying that, there could be some fab nicknames with your choices!

MiddleAgedDread · 24/12/2025 21:25

Florence Rose and Pandora Jean aka Florrie & Dora

Nursemumma92 · 24/12/2025 21:29

Tabitha Rose and Tallulah Jean

Ottilie Rose and Violet Jean

Florence Rose and Arabella Jean

Jk987 · 24/12/2025 21:30

Ottilie sounds pretentious and cringe to me for some reason. The others are really nice.

Astra53 · 24/12/2025 21:33

Tabitha Rose and Tallulah Jean

awrbc81 · 24/12/2025 22:31

Tabitha Rose and Violet Jean

Also like Penelope and it goes with Rose or Jean

MargotMoon · 24/12/2025 22:36

How many syllables are your double barrels? Might help narrow your choices down if they scan nicely

Youmightnotliketheanswer · 24/12/2025 22:42

Congratulations.
Penelope Jean and Florence Rose would be my choice from your list.
I have twins I'd say its easier if they have different first initials.
Also say out loud in your accent both names together because you’ll say them together more than you do other siblings. Also if you think they'll be shortened say those too.

pinkpanther84 · 24/12/2025 22:46

Ottilie Rose and Tabitha Jean

reallyalurker · 24/12/2025 22:48

I find most of these a bit too frilly. Penelope and Tabitha are ok. But all likely to be a bit heavy with a double-barrelled surname, and all very likely to be abbreviated, so depends whether you are ok with the short forms.

Watchoutfortheslowaraf · 24/12/2025 22:50

If I had twin girls I’d called them Olivia and Charlotte with Livvy and Lottie for nicknames

FiloPasty · 24/12/2025 22:52

Florence Rose and Ottilie Jean fir me

machateas · 24/12/2025 22:53

I love Tabitha but I’m not sure it flows well with any of your other options, as a twin set. Apart from maybe Penelope. So could do Tabitha Rose and Penelope Jean.
I also agree though that these long name choices might be a bit much with a double barreled last name

NippyPete · 24/12/2025 22:56

ottilie and Tabitha proper little witches!

GoodVibesHere · 24/12/2025 23:01

I don't like Pandora, it has a frilly and dated vibe, a bit like Porscha or Chantelle.

Also I'm sorry but Tallulah sounds a bit OTT, like a stage name or drag queen.

So out of your list it would be Florence and Penelope for me. Both pretty names.
