Twin girls due June - name opinions welcome and needed!

I am pregnant with twins and we found out today that it is 2 girls!

We have a good list of names, but I’m keen to hear thoughts and opinions about our top choices!

For info, our surname is double barrelled and due to family etc, middle names will be Rose and Jean - but it is first names we are trying to decide on!

This. Our surname is a pita so we needed shorter first names for balance.

I know a Nancy Jean and I always think it sounds very cool.

From your list I only really like Violet - the others are quite full on with a double barrelled surname too.

Florence Jean and Violet Rose

Love Violet, but not with Rose as it’s two colours together. And think Otillie is perfect as a twin name.
So Ottilie Rose and Violet Jean.
Also love Penelope nn Penny and Florence.
Penelope Rose and Florence Jean sound nice together.
Not keen on Tallulah, Arabella (makes me think of an Arab beetle) or Pandora (bracelet) from your list.

Just to say, huge congratulations. My twin girls turned 1 today and it's been the most extraordinary experience. Truly the best thing that could have happened to our family.

I like Tabitha and Violet from your list the most but all are lovely!

Several lovely names there! However I dislike Ottilie -sounds like otter and utterly to me - and I find Tallulah just too much. I think Tallulah has a very particular frilly feel and would only suit a few people.

Any of the others would work as twins. My favourites are Florence, Tabitha, Violet, Pandora and Penelope.

I would choose Tabitha, with either Florence, Violet, Pandora or Penelope for the other child.

Another vote for Ottilie Rose & Tabitha Jean - of course, they'll probably end up being Tilly and Tabby, which I think is very sweet.

I like Florence and Penelope best of your list. Lovely timeless names.

I can't explain it but I have such a dislike of Ottilie. It has also had a really quick rise up the popularity charts in recent years - in our part of London, there are loads of Ottilies everywhere, and so I think there a risk that it will become one of those names that really dates.

I like Rose and Jean best. I’d use them as first names
