Emma, a beautiful name.

Strawberrycreamcalzone · 16/09/2025 21:23

Anna, I like a palindrome

RuthW · 16/09/2025 21:24

Anna - just nicer.

girljulian · 16/09/2025 21:25

Both extremely boring.

My first name is Emma and I stopped using it in favour of my middle name when I was 7 because it was so common and lacking in personality.

TomatoSandwiches · 16/09/2025 21:26

Anna

TheendofmrY · 16/09/2025 21:26

Anna. Love it, it would’ve been my DD’s name if I’d had my way.

Melsy88 · 16/09/2025 21:27

Emma is my all time favorite name.

Do also like Anna too though

2chocolateoranges · 16/09/2025 21:31

I do like Emma but prefer Annie or Hannah over Anna.

Maverick66 · 16/09/2025 21:32

I have an Emma ........she is a beautiful kind and thoughtful young woman ❤️

dontcomeatme · 16/09/2025 21:33

Love the name Emma!

Hotdoughnut · 16/09/2025 21:38

Emma, because it's my name and I've always loved it 😂 I find Anna a bit meh, but it is pretty.

faithflower · 16/09/2025 21:45

My dad wanted to name me Emma but mum insisted on Anna :) Id probably choose Anna though love both names 😊

Emma isn’t.

Alexandrine · 16/09/2025 21:49

I’d pick Anna. Cool palindrome, very international and fairly timeless as I don’t think it’s ever been super popular/higher than Top 40 or so in the UK (not to be confused with similar Anne which was popular for so long it’s considered a bit dated now).

I don’t dislike Emma but it seems to ride the waves of fashion more- it has been in and out of the Top 10 a lot over the years.

MyElatedUmberFinch · 16/09/2025 21:47

Emma isn’t.

Ha sorry - realised as soon as I sent this. Too tired. Need to go to sleep. Sorry!

Moreteaandchocolate · 16/09/2025 22:05

Emma is my favourite -it has a prettier sound to me.
Anna is nice too and not overused in any particular age group.

DuchessOfNarcissex · 16/09/2025 22:05

Emma (Jane Austen)

OopsieeDaisy · 16/09/2025 22:08

I love the name Anna, so pretty and classic. Emma feels a bit 90s to me as I went to school with a lot.

CarpetKnees · 16/09/2025 22:24

Emma, because there are loads of Annas that are 0 - 10, but far fewer Emmas. It is just easier / nicer not to be one of 2 or 3 in every class or group you are in throughout life.

Both perfectly nice names.

ApricotCheesecake · 16/09/2025 22:25

Anna

Snugglemonkey · 16/09/2025 22:25

Anna

Notagain75 · 16/09/2025 22:26

Anna is much nicer than Emma

LittleMissLateForWorkAgain · 16/09/2025 22:31

Emma is my favourite girl s name. I have an Emma of my own age 31 now although she was a 90s baby and it was a popular name there was never another in the same class, although her friend was an Emily.

Both Anna and Emma are nice names but obviously I favour Emma( my one is mostly known as Em and she's a great daughter)

LivingTheDreamish · 16/09/2025 22:41

Love both, slightly prefer the more elegant Anna.
