…just out of curiosity and because I’m still in thinking of names for my daughter due soon. Thanks

I wonder if the trend to have every name ending in ‘a’ will ever end?
There must be a huge number of Islas and Ellas and Lolas out there!

That’s hardly a trend. That’s just how names work.

I’m in my 40s and my generation is full of Lisa, Laura, Sarah, Paula, Julia, Andrea, Fiona, Gemma, Jenna, Maria…I could go on.

Georgina, which I disliked but is growing on me!

I know two Georginas (both adults) and both choose to be known as Gina, I like the full name but if it was me I'd either use the full name or be George (famous five vibes)

Lots of Skye which is interesting because it is 100% a dog name. Especially Collies, Westies, Scottie, Retrievers and Labs.

Blue. But spelt Bleu, French spelling. So any French speakers are probably going to call her Bleugh.

Oh lordy that's hideous.

Or Iseult/Isolde from the Tristan legends?

on Jill: thinking about it on a baby, I think it actually sounds lovely. I think it will become more popular again.
