Last year DD had 5 Lyla or Lyras in her group of 30.

Lots of Ottos and Arlos. and Margots (various spellings) on a similar theme.

AnneMarieW · 18/05/2025 00:50

No doubles currently but a lot of O ending names (seems very trendy at the moment) - there’s an Arlo, Theo, Leo and Milo. Also there’s an Albie, Archie and an Alfie (as well as a lot of other “ie” ending boys names that don’t start with A). And short E heavy names are popular for girls - there’s an Elsie, Esme, Ella and Eva.

But there is actually only one of the Eva/Evie/Ivy/Ava type names, so maybe that V trend is fading, and no Sophie/Sofia/Sophia or Isabelle/Isobel/Isabella or an Oliver or Olivia as you might expect based on national stats (there is a Noah and Amelia though).

Basically if you avoid an O or ie ending name for boys or a short 2 syllable, vowel heavy name for girls then it stands out more here, whatever the popularity overall.

ThatsEnoughAboutYou · 18/05/2025 00:56

We have in my setting 6 ivy's and 4 of them are ivy-rose! Also 4 Theo's!
We also have duplicates of Leo, teddy/teddie, albie/Alby, poppy and Freddy/Freddie these names have all been very popular for a few years, but ivy-rose has got to be the current most common double barreled name by a mile!
