Ideas for boy/girl twins?

Preferably a bit Celtic as our ds's have scottish names. Our surname ends in 'son' so unfortunately can't use ones like Madison which I know isn't Scottish but I like!
To be even more difficult, nothing beginning with C/E/F or K as I'll get too confused with the rest of us!

Yes, sinking in thank you Indith What are you going to do if dc2 is another boy then???

Thanks all v.much, I am going to get dp to look at the thread and see if he likes any. He nixed Talia (which I was going to use with Rose as a middle name after my gm, oh well). I like quite a few but it's easier to get him to look first and narrow down (sigh). He's suggesting Luke and Leia. Hmmm.

Hunker, yes I do like Fraser a LOT, luckily very uncommon in Yorkshire unlike Scotland I'd bet. Calum apparently means Malcolm which is the family male name (my dad, grandad and great-grandad) but I like neither of them!

LOL at Luke and Leia .
I take it you've vetoed that then, you spoilsport!

Indith's ds has the name I nearly gave ds1 and ds2. DH and I couldn't agree on the shortened form though so we didn't have it. I would if I had another boy though, it's the only other boy's name we agree on.

Liam, Jamie, Niall, Angus, Dougald (not sure on the proper spelling though!)

Mairi/Mhari, Eilidh (could be Ailie, if you want to anglicise it a bit), Susannah

are all Scottish people I know. Will keep thinking.....

Indith · 18/05/2008 20:29

No idea! Shall have to think of something though.

sweetkitty · 18/05/2008 20:36

thanks dizzy great to see DD2's name being mentioned

I love Eilidh and Lochlan

Twinkie1 · 18/05/2008 20:37

Harriet and Elliot

Sad but they are my fave names!

ButterflyBessie · 18/05/2008 20:40

Hamish and Flora, I looked after a set of twins with those names over 20 years ago

LaDiDaDi · 18/05/2008 20:41

Ishbel and Iain

eenybeeny · 18/05/2008 20:41

I love Maeve! Maeve and Michael?

sweetkitty · 18/05/2008 20:42

Elliot is my boys names - but I keep having girls so will never get to use it unless I get another cat.

Twinkie1 · 18/05/2008 20:44

Wanted Elliot for DS but DD is Harriet so that went out of the window.

accessorizequeen · 18/05/2008 20:50

Goodness, E is ds2's name (dp says after ET, but me Elliot Gould!) So you can see what I want to fit new names in with now! Completely outed myself.

I love Maeve and those old-fashioned girl names.

Yes, Oli, did veto Luke and Leia! dp most disappointed with me. Indith, you'll think of something!

I think Hamish is really cute and I think Isla is so lovely so my vote is for Hamish and Isla

Twinkie1 · 18/05/2008 20:54

What about Hugo - that is the coolest name ever!

accessorizequeen · 18/05/2008 20:57

It is nice, twinkie, but good friend's dh is Hugo just can't do it. I just find Hamish a bit tooo scottish iywswim. I only want a bit scottish (why anyway, am not scottish, I'm an aussie)! Just to fit with other two, and dp & I have unusual names too though not too unusual.

Olihan · 18/05/2008 20:57

Isobel is the scottish spelling of Isabel. I really liked Isabel but DH taught a really annoying one the year dd was born so he said no!

Euan is nice too but probably too similar to El?

evenhope · 18/05/2008 21:04

Duncan and Morwenna

My sister once picked up my A-Z to Newcastle and commented that "Jesmond" and "Jarrow" would be good names for twins...

Stroppyknickers · 20/05/2008 13:14
