What do you think about Anna? It’s my favourite girls name but wanted views from others too.

I love it. It always sounds fresh to me.

Anna is an excellent name, so much so that I chose it myself! It's one of those names that everybody is familiar with, but there aren't many about. It is easy to say and spell. The only thing is that, if you come from an area where 'H's are dropped, people will assume that she is actually called Hannah (and some will pronounce it as such).

It is my favourite girls name and I couldn't use it as our surname rhymes with Anna. I was gutted!

I love Anna. Have known lovely ones and less lovely ones, but the name is classic. If you wanted something similar but slightly less common, how about Amanda?

I like it. I also like Ann/Anne and Annie. I love classic, recognisable names which aren't very commonly used for children these days.

I think Anna is a really pretty name. A proper timeless classic. I love Annabel/Annabelle too, so would be tempted to use it as a longer name, with Anna as a nickname. But Anna is perfect on its own too!

I love Annabelle and Annabella too but very very close to my nieces name!

It's my name and I really like it. It's international and easy to spell. Go for it OP!

I love it - love from an Anna

It was on our shortlist 15 years ago and then I was quite glad we hadn’t gone for it when frozen came out as I HATE how they said “Auhh-nah” weirdly…

But I do still love the name and it is a classic elegant name. Go for it!!!

For me im of the dull and boring opinion

I have an Anna, the only other child Anna we know is her best friends sister. It’s timeless, easy to spell, international, and no one has a strong opinion on it, so ticked lots of boxes for us.

It’s a bit like James - classic and really quite lovely.. but also a bit overdone right now so also somewhat dull.
