We have chosen this name for our little girl but can't settle on a spelling what are people's opinions please?

Aydel · 09/01/2025 22:08

Farley’s rusks.

Also my immediate first thought

amber763 · 09/01/2025 22:09

As PPS said, like the rusks?

Thelondonone · 09/01/2025 22:10

Neither. It’s not a real name, please don’t do this. I thought Charlie farlie (down).

Dartmoorcheffy · 09/01/2025 22:11

Please don't.

sleetysnowflakes · 09/01/2025 22:11

Did you think it suits an adult woman as well as a cute baby?

Tinselinthewhoopsiebasket · 09/01/2025 22:11

Just don't op..

MissBattleaxe · 09/01/2025 22:12

I'd feel really sorry for a child with that name.

romdowa · 09/01/2025 22:12

It's a surname / brand name , why would you do that to your child?

PurpleChrayn · 09/01/2025 22:13

Noooooo. Not Farley. Or Farlie.

Hercisback1 · 09/01/2025 22:15

Neither, it's a rusk

viques · 09/01/2025 22:16

Anyone else remembering The Two Ronnie! Charlie Farley and Piggy Malone.

You should have gone for twins or triplets OP. Charlie, Farley. Harley

Waterboatlass · 09/01/2025 22:16

It's awful, really.

TheTruthHurtsDontIt · 09/01/2025 22:17

It's Farley, Farlie is just a spelling error. I mean if you really like rusks or the area in Stoke on Trent why not, but I've only ever heard this name as a first name on a man, Farley Mowat. So for me it's strongly associated with delicious biscuits, Stoke on Trent, and bushy bearded Canadians 🤷‍♀️

MrsBelle · 09/01/2025 22:17

I actually know a farley but he's a man, I was thinking doing the ie to make it more feminine. I didn't realise it was an out there name tbh 🙈

Emanwenym · 09/01/2025 22:19

Call her Charley Farley and save Rusk for DC2.

Blongers · 09/01/2025 22:20

Fartlea

viques · 09/01/2025 22:20

Gharleigh.

The first Gh is pronounced as F as in cough, rough, tough, enough.

RosemaryRabbit · 09/01/2025 22:20

Dolly Alderton writes really lovingly about her best friend Farley in one of her memoirs, I don't know how it's spelled I listened to it on audiobook.

Anyway- Farley ok please not Farlie
