lol lol at your bil Expat.

I love rednecks.
I have fraternised with loads of 'em over many happy summers working in the Smoky mountains.
I tell ya, I was born to drink beer on a porch, string beans all day and pluck the banjo.
(I'm drawing the line at a nylon truck driver's cap though-the type that sit high on yer head with mesh sides).

artichokes · 30/04/2008 13:27

What about Benedict? Its a slightly unusual twist on Ben.

moondog · 30/04/2008 13:27

They''ll call him Egs.
Sure as eggs is eggs.

CountessDracula · 30/04/2008 13:28

rubbish
I have a friend called Benedict
He is called Ben
Not Eggs

moondog · 30/04/2008 13:30

I should have married a fine figure of a man like the one on the right

AHLH · 30/04/2008 13:31

It sounds like a place name .

Ledodgy · 30/04/2008 13:31

Does it have to begin with 'B'?

YAP · 30/04/2008 13:34

You don't need any more negative feedback on names - will only say that my dh and I could not agree on names for our ds2 and eventually decided on a name when he was five weeks old. We now feel that we have really let him down as we don't really love his name but it was the only one that we both liked. Unfortunately we canvassed opinion on my favourite name and everyone hated it - apparently the only thing that should have the name is a gay german dog (name was Bruno). I really wish I'd never asked anyone's thoughts. It's rare for other people to immediately love a name - it just grows with the person so best thing is to just announce the baby's name and most people would not be so rude as to say they hate the name.

Titter · 30/04/2008 13:35

Very true YAP.
Snort at Bruno.

Mine Jew, I believe it is mother's place to choose the name.I pretended to cosider dh's choices (Dion Teifi anyone?) but inside was saying
'Not on yer nelly mate' i had already chosen months ago.

Rosylily · 30/04/2008 13:38

Anyway Bradley isn't that bad. You lot are just in the mood for slagging anything for the craic!
Mustsleep if you like it, that's what matters.
I think it's a good idea to have a couple of names in mind because sometimes when the baby arrives you get a better feel of the right name for him or her.

mustsleep · 30/04/2008 13:39

you only have to say whether or not you like it you don;t have to be nasty, name call and try to make me into something i am not

am going now thanks for your help

Don't like Bradley Preston myself but it's your baby!

moondog · 30/04/2008 13:40

Ah, sorry Must.
Look, if you like it that is al lthat matters.

Maybe not so wise to ask opinions of hundreds of strangers.
I would never do so!

Titter · 30/04/2008 13:41

don't be precious

you did ask

noddyholder · 30/04/2008 13:41

Britney-esque

MrsBadger · 30/04/2008 13:42

not for me in a million years

but then I am a James / Edward / Ben type

OverMyDeadBody · 30/04/2008 13:42

personally I don't like it.

S1ur · 30/04/2008 13:43

Thought I was quite helpful and friendly actually.

I shall go off in a huff now.

mustsleep · 30/04/2008 13:44

i'm not being precious !!

am pregnant slightly well very hormonal and it's not the fact that you do not like the name it's the fact that it has taken us four months to just agree on that one name (which no one likes) i have been slagged off by two people who i do not know and who do not know me, called a chav and then made fun of

glad i made your day
