I'd use Christina - the Christina I know is called Christy for short or you could use Tina. Agree Chris isn't nice for a girl! Or you could be really strict and only use Christina and teach her to say "it's Christina" if someone tries to shorten it.

I agree that I think it calls for a two syllable name like Anna or Lottie or Lara.

I think I love Christy so much as it reminds me of Christy Turlington. Elegant.

My daughter middle name Jean after my gran - can’t shorten that. Her first name is Iris, not many options for shortening that without being weird.
