Not Guinevere. All the others are ok.
like Rosalind myself.

HamSad · 18/08/2024 20:33

Josephine is great and can be shortened to Jo or Josie. Definitely not Guinevere.

Squirrelsnut · 18/08/2024 20:34

Rosalind is lovely.

SquigglePigs · 18/08/2024 20:38

I don't like Geneviere but the others are nice.

Rosalind and Georgiana are my favourites. The only risk with Georgiana is people assuming it's Georgina.

You've got a taste for long names so make sure you're happy with the obvious potential abbreviations for them as it's likely other people will abbreviate.

My only other suggestion would be Arabella. I love it but DH vetoed!

LochKatrine · 18/08/2024 20:39

Josephine and Rosalind are lovely. My favourites

MelodyMalone · 18/08/2024 20:40

I like Rosalind Ivy and Josephine Ivy, though personally might prefer it the other way round - Ivy Rosalind, etc. I do like the name Ivy.

LochKatrine · 18/08/2024 20:42

I think Ivy may well be in the top 100?

Oh yes, it is, hadn't thought of that 😄

DrFosterWentToGloucester23 · 18/08/2024 20:45

I have a Josephine and I love it 🥰 She prefers to go by Josie which I also like. Over a 20 year teaching career, I’ve come across three others. All lovely girls.

I also like Rosalind from your list. Have you considered Gwendoline instead of Guinevere? Similar sounding but less of a link to a specific character/person.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 18/08/2024 20:45

Theodora Rose is lovely.
I like Georgiana but would go with Rose or Grace. Ending in A and then starting second name with A doesn't roll well.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 18/08/2024 20:45

Josephine Rose.

NannyR · 18/08/2024 20:46

I love the name Rosalind - it would be my number one choice if I were to have a daughter. Josephine is great too.
Personally not keen on the other three names at all.

Gwendoline is lovely.

Yes I thought the same. Georgiana is my favourite but I think it goes best with Rose. I think Georgiana Rose is lovely.

Guinevere I dont like much and I’m sorry but putting it with Rebecca seems very random: one is biblical and one is kind of Arthurian.

shoopshoopdedoo · 18/08/2024 20:59

Love Josephine and Theodora. Also Rose and Alice of your middle name options.

It doesn’t really matter what I think but, since you asked… I’m not keen on Rosalind as I don’t like “Ros”, but I like Rose, or Rosemary if you prefer a long name. Georgiana is a bit much for my taste, but I like Georgina. Guinevere is a no, but I love Gwendoline.

quickturtle · 18/08/2024 21:01

Don't use rose as a middle name unless it's chosen to honor someone. It's a filler name.

I don't like Georgiana.

ExhaustedHousewife · 18/08/2024 21:02

Isn't Theodora v.popular? I know of 2 Teddy girls.

crumpet · 18/08/2024 21:02

Rosamund is another possibility

ExhaustedHousewife · 18/08/2024 21:04

Guinevere isn't nice at all.(sorry to any out there).

Lwrenn · 18/08/2024 21:05

Evangeline.
I looked after the sweetest little lassie called Evangeline.

That's a gorgeous name!

Rosalind and Josephine BUT do you like Roz / Rosie or Joss / Josie? Because they will get shortened.

I would like Theodora but I know so many.

Georgiana is lovely but people will pronounce it Georgina. People are annoying. Also, the only Georgiana I know of was the Duchess of Devonshire (who pronounced it Georg-eye-na … rhymes with vagina). I would automatically pronounce it the same way.

Guinevere - I am not sure. The first female character in “You” was called Guinevere and she said her “parents were assholes with the whole naming thing” - she went by her surname. Do you like Gwen? This name will get shortened.

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 18/08/2024 21:10

I love the name Guinevere. It means white or blonde. Don't like Rosalind, sorry. Georgiana is my favourite from your list. Josephine is OK but I don't like the shortenings.
Ariana?

mrwalkensir · 18/08/2024 21:12

Rosamund instead of Rosalind?

HollyGolightly4 · 18/08/2024 21:15

"Rosalind's a f**- nightmare"

Niche reference, although it is my favourite from your list.
