Currently 16 weeks with twins. Don’t know the sexes yet. Need some inspiration. What would you call yours?

Maybe come back when you know the sexes.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/08/2024 15:10

This thread has reminded me that I once vaguely knew an Aidan and Nadia.

SurpriseTwinPregnancy · 13/08/2024 15:18

I thought this would be a pretty innocuous thread, not sure why there are so many comedy answers! Perhaps people think I’m a troll (I know people on here often think Twins = Troll on here). Obviously I am not :)

Anyway, I’m enjoying the funny answers and paying attention to the serious suggestions.

I’ll also reiterate that of course I plan on naming them as individuals and not a set, but they do have to work together to an extent, in the same way people often ask on here for names that go with their other DC’s names. I would never go for something awful like Thomas and Thomasina or Joseph and Josephine.

Also not going to apologise for asking before we know the sexes. We might not find out until birth.

I have an Alexander (Alex) though so I would have to swap Alice for something else as I think it would be tricky to distinguish which one I was calling to come down the stairs.

Why do names have to match or go together when did that become a thing? Pick 4 names you love with nick names your okay about and initials that don't look ridiculous

greengreyblue · 13/08/2024 16:53

They don’t have to match obvs.

SurpriseTwinPregnancy · 13/08/2024 18:13

It’s not about matching. It’s about them being complementary to each other and of similar taste and style.

I’m not going to call one Jane and the other Allegra-Snowdrop, am I?
