Male names:

Monty (would be late teens now)
Anatoly (think that was how it’s spelt. Also late teens)
Fox (friend of teen DD)
Lake (old school friends baby announcement on fb a few years back)
Hunter-Chase (another fb baby)
Best (the baby of a social media influencer that I also know in real life )

I've met a Placid. It seemed a bit of an odd thing to wish for your child, like you wanted them to be quiet and unremarkable.

Calm and serene doesn’t seem like such an odd set of meanings for a name . Certainly no odder than Mercy/ Verity/ Temperance?

I’ve met or know Gandalf, Ace, Eucharia, Knott, Buzz, LaRue and Bonaventiure.

Vashti is a biblical name, the Queen of Persia in the Book of Esther.

Often used in Romany families. My granny was Vashti. Two of her sisters were called Mary, for no apparent reason.
