Rocco Forte and Madonna's kid come to mind.

It's ntmpt but does it fit with your other child's name?

LightFartedHun · 11/04/2008 22:37

Is other child called Lourdes?

nkf · 11/04/2008 22:37

Rocco Forte is the only thing that come to mind here too. And then that makes me think of Little Chef.

DS is called Tyler.. yeah I know, according to most of you on here "chavvy", but he's the only one in the nursery school, and also the only one under our health visitor so hey there's hope and I still LOVE it as much as the day I named him.

We have a difficult surname.

Storm.

I just love Rocco Storm.

Am I being daft?

If so, slap me!

A boy at our nursery is called Rocco. But then his dad IS Italian.

Otherwise I would say its a no-no. (unless mum is Italian of course)

weell, shag - if I may call you shag - I think the problem is with your choice of first names, not your surname

Heated · 11/04/2008 22:55

Go for it. I'd be tempted to give him a more traditional mn though.

sophiebbb · 11/04/2008 22:57

If you like it then go for it!!! Who cares what anyone else thinks! You don't like everyone else's choices all the time so it doesn't matter if some people don't like yours!!!

branflake81 · 12/04/2008 08:15

I think it's hideous. I don't think I could take anyone seriously called Rocco.

belgo · 12/04/2008 08:17

I knew an italian Rocco. I would just think it's an italian name. I would be surprised if any one non -italian used it.

Moomin · 12/04/2008 08:22

If you like then go for it

... but his name is typical for the classlists that give the most gyp to teachers. Very much dislike it. But he ain't my dc, so you have to go with what you want.

MrsMattie · 12/04/2008 08:23

Rocco only if you are Italian.

Moomin · 12/04/2008 08:25

btw storm is a fab surname and will always be memorable. One of my best friend's surname is Wilde, which has same kind of connotation. Her kids are called 'traditional' names and they therefore sound like fanous writers and actors, rather than the latest excludee from school.

belgo · 12/04/2008 08:29

I would also go for a traditional first name if Storm was my surname.

Ineedsomesleep · 12/04/2008 08:43

Rocco Storm, two things spring to mind, either a Rock Star or headlines in the Crime Section of the local paper.

Then again, James is the most common first name for criminals.

Name him Rocco, everyone will remember him

LynetteScavo · 12/04/2008 08:44

James is a popular name - not just for criminals! [shock}

dizzydixies · 12/04/2008 08:46

my friend has this high on her list for dc3 due in 4wks along with rufus and raphael

if you love it, use it no matter what others think its your child and your name

just fyi her dcs are called Luca and Lola

bigknickersbigknockers · 12/04/2008 08:58

you asked to be slapped... sorry but its bloody awful.

noddyholder · 12/04/2008 08:59

I agree you do need an italian connection.I like Rocky though
