Why is it SO hard? We just want a nice, slightly different without being stupid name that isn't already being used by 10 other children where we live...please give me some suggestions?

We need boy probably more than girl but all are welcome.

Ds is Jaxon, we'd like something solid sounding along the same line.

Nothing really that ends "ey", as our surname does and they all sound a bit daft.

Everything is welcome. I've looked through a few threads and seems to have an association with them all! I'm going to explode!!!

TIA

I never knew 'Acer' was the same as Asa. I love Asa, but assumed when I heard it called out, it was spelled Acer and was therefore chavvy. I know of someone with 3 boys, with names right up your street. Xander, Mack and Radley.

Sleepycat... am so glad you like Wilfred,,, i love it because it can be shortened several ways ie Wilf Fred, Will etc... My Wilfred is wonderful you couldnt have picked a better name... i actually thought i was in for a b...cking when i saw the first part of what you wrote! Thought you were going to say change the record etc!! Am going to post a pic of my Wilf on my profile soon so you can see him!!

SoMuchToBits · 07/04/2008 20:05

I still like Ozias (historic name in my family). It's biblical like a lot of names which are popular today, but no-one seems to use it. I think it means "The lord is strength".

Anyway, it's different, not chavvy and doesn't end in -ey.....

Tutter · 07/04/2008 20:06

I have always loved the name Brock, but DH won't let me use it, as it is the name of one of his friends.

lottiejenkins · 07/04/2008 20:56
