Originally going to be called Jim after my granddad, but we've found out we're having a girl. Would this work?

Don't be silly!

I think Jamie is your best bet. Or hope you go onto having a boy later. Although in that scenario I'd call him James nn Jim.

Grin
WarningOfGails · 29/04/2024 11:26

I know a Jemima who is nicknamed Jimmy.

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:27

Sorry op but this actually made me snort 🤣 reminded me of that episode of friends where she wants to call one of the babies after her dad, Jiminy-Billy-Bob

You can't call your kid Jimberly. You know this.

Tbh Jimmy or Jim a middle name would be better than Jimberly.

BigBadBarri · 29/04/2024 11:27

Jimerlina?

ilovepixie · 29/04/2024 11:30

Or Jamesina or Jamesetta

Westfacing · 29/04/2024 11:30

Lovely

checkedshirts · 29/04/2024 11:31

I prefer Jimothy. Or Jimon. Or at a push Jim-Jams.

User1979289 · 29/04/2024 11:32

This is an excellent name, really great. 😂😂

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:32

ilovepixie · 29/04/2024 11:30

Or Jamesina or Jamesetta

Jamesina is too much like John Cena, she'll have endless "can't see her" jokes.

Skiphopbump · 29/04/2024 11:33

JimALynn has a lovely ring to it.

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:33

How about Jimbalonz?

Westfacing · 29/04/2024 11:33

What's your grandmother's name? (wife of Jim)

SmallIslander · 29/04/2024 11:33

Jimbalonz

VisitationRights · 29/04/2024 11:34

Jimberleigh, surely

Cantfindansweronline · 29/04/2024 11:35

No… just no

EatCrow · 29/04/2024 11:35

Jima for a girl. If you have twins you can call them Two Jima.

Skiphopbump · 29/04/2024 11:35

Megifer · 29/04/2024 11:33

How about Jimbalonz?

Need to stick an a or ella at the end to properly feminise the name.

emergencybab · 29/04/2024 11:35

😂

JellyBeanFactory · 29/04/2024 11:35

Jamelia or Jemima

Please not Jimberly

OneStepOneStumble · 29/04/2024 11:36

Just used James. Very in for girls at the moment and nn Jim 🤷🏻‍♀️

justpeachy1234 · 29/04/2024 11:36

I really hope this is true! It's made my day 🤣🤣🤣

CaptainMyCaptain · 29/04/2024 11:36

Absolutely not.

ExpectoPatronums · 29/04/2024 11:36

This can't be serious?

Toddlerteaplease · 29/04/2024 11:37

Hilarious, I knew a baby through work called Jimbob. We laughed a lot. (Out of sight and hearing of the parents)
