Just to be clear I have absolutely no problem with ppl not likening my names of choice but I do have a problem with ppl being rude and going out of there way to be mean …there is a saying if you have nothing nice to say …say nothing at all …I don’t expect to come on here and have mean girl tactics thrown at me …and for the record about my mental health and saying maybe this is not the place for me who are you to tell me that …I’ve had some lovely feed back on here nice ppl I’m now sitting here so upset at in my opinion being bullied ..you can say things without being mean I feel sick to the stomach that ppl are actually more interested in hitting me with nasty comment than doing what op wanted which was about baby names ..I’m really upset now and I hope that for those of you that got me there are happy well done you …I feel like shit

OK, I know you told me to leave you alone but I have just seen this and I am genuinely trying to be helpful and avoid you becoming upset in the future.

I think the ‘issue’ is that your list is very different to the type of names the OP has suggested, and that’s why you’ve received some comments you haven’t liked. People think they are odd suggestions and have been forthright in telling you. Some of the names on your list are very unusual, and are going to be the type of names that people either really like or really don’t like. So, it’s probably going to be safest to either not suggest them (if they have sentimental value to you) or to keep them for posters asking for unusual or maybe nature themed names. I’m sure if you’d suggested Tiger on that thread then nobody would have even blinked!

I hope this hasn’t made you any more upset. It is intended to do the opposite.

I’m sorry you feel shit at the moment- I hope your evening improves 🙂

I suffer mental health are you not getting it or do you want to keep going ?

RubyWinehouse · 17/04/2024 20:23

Have you considered Elodie or Martha?

TeamPolin · 17/04/2024 20:24

I like Adelaide. I'm always surprised it isn't more popular as it's the same period as most of the granny chic names that are in vogue currently.

Mabel and Eloise are Ok.

Leighton for a girl is just awful....

MerryChristmasToYou · 17/04/2024 20:28

@Nicetobenice7 , I hide threads quite often. I had someone having a pop at me on another thread today but sometimes if you dare have an opinion that they don't agree with some posters become mean.

indecisivewoman81 · 17/04/2024 20:31

I like Mabel and Elouise the best. I am not keen on Annabelle (horror film vibes), Cressida or Gracie

BodyKeepingScore · 17/04/2024 20:31

@Nicetobenice7 I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and spent three months last year in an acute psychiatric inpatient unit. So what? We ALL have mental health. Doesn't mean everyone has to pat you on the back and pretend to like the names you suggested. Your reaction to people not liking names you chose is still extreme.

It’s not about liking or disliking it’s the mean comments I’m done talking about this for my own sake I’m a nice person and don’t need to be mean and horrible to ppl to get my kicks you have a nice evening and we’ll done you

The best thing is just not to respond back IMO @Nicetobenice7 . If someone says something you find upsetting just stay off the thread after that because often other people will jump on to say the same thing and it will just get you down more. Don't let a thread about names get you down, it's just not worth it.

OP I love Eloise, just like pretty much everyone else! I don't think it's too popular and I don't think it has to be shortened to Ella or Ellie.

Thankyou for your kindness …it’s awful when ppl are so nasty ….pp can have opinions and you can do it without being mean and nasty there really is no need to upset other I actually think ppl enjoy hurting other ppl I’m done with this thread have a nice evening

Yikes! These definitely sound like names a 'young' person would choose but, thankfully, they don't seem to fit the brief here 😊

I like Eloise, Grace and Mabel best.
I have had two nieces have babies recently and they were called Maisy and Daphne 💕

Mumofgirls2017 · 17/04/2024 23:37

I like Eloise and Adelaide. I'd like Annabel (spelt that way) and Grace rather than Gracie. Not a big fan of the others, sorry.
