i'm 21 and expecting my first daughter, here are some of the names we have in mind. please let me know your opinions on all and if you have any suggestions

Gracie
Leighton
Adelaide (Addie)
Eloise
Cressida
Annabelle
Mabel

i'm finding it hard to choose just one, do any of these names stand out to you?

I don’t see why your age is relevant unless you think it influences your taste in names? Please God, not Leighton or Gracie. Mabel by far the best of your choices.

StrawberrySkies · 17/04/2024 15:36

eloise, adelaide and annabelle are all looking like big contenders!

Other ideas: Serena? Elodie? Roisin?

peaceinourtime · 17/04/2024 15:50

Adelaide

misszebra · 17/04/2024 15:58

Camille is nice. as is Eloise, and Mary. I love the name Ming also

misszebra · 17/04/2024 15:58

Adelaide makes me cringe.

ilikeeggs · 17/04/2024 16:02

Eloise and Adelaide are my favourites.

WalkWithMeSuzieLee · 17/04/2024 16:03

Eloise, Camille or Grace (nn Gracie) are all lovely.

Nicetobenice7 · 17/04/2024 16:06

Kelsey
Indi Blu
Tiger
River
Summer Mae

Floralnomad · 17/04/2024 16:08

I like Eloise and Cressida , Mabel is lovely but it’s a very popular dog name round here so if you call it at the park you will likely attract 4 labradors and a spaniel . As alternatives in the same sort of line Claudia , Serena or Tamara.

Iif you like Renee use it, it's beautiful

MerryChristmasToYou · 17/04/2024 16:13

@misszebra , @Nicetobenice7 posts pretty much the same list on many threads regardless of OP stating a preference for a specific type of name.

'always' ? I've never responded to or seen your posts in my life. if you give suggestions prepare for opinions.

DinaofCloud9 · 17/04/2024 16:19

Gracie and Leighton are awful imo.

Adelaide and Eloise are my favourites. Mabel is OK too but I'm not sure I'd like to be called Mabel.

These are all awful and nothing like the names OP has listed :/

Eloise is lovely OP, was the name of one of my best friends growing up so I have a lot of positive vibes from it!

SlowlyLurking · 17/04/2024 16:29

Eloise is lovely

Surely you must realise that they are fairly niche names though, so likely to cause strong opinions either way?

Especially if you post them on multiple name threads, regardless of whether they suit the OPs tastes.

Why does it even matter to you what I do like I said please leave me alone

marmiteoneverything · 17/04/2024 16:35

I like Adelaide, Cressida, Mabel and Annabel (rather than Annabelle), OP.

I also like Cordelia, if you’re a fan of ancient Shakespearean names 🙂

PrincessOfPreschool · 17/04/2024 16:35

Adelaide and Eloise

I went out with a boy called Leighton. Never heard it for a girl.
