Live in the uk for context. I feel like if we lived in America it would be fine!
It's just such a sweet name, Huckleberry. But he'd definitely hate me right?

Hormones!

Hormones.

About the same stage I fancied calling DS “Jed” after President Bartlett.

Wait it out.

I know a Jed. It suits him!

@putonaredlamp It’s the rhyme with fuck that makes it dodgy territory for me.
I know a female Berry though and whilst it was weird at first it grew on me.
Finn might be better however

Hormones and tiredness.
You need relaxing walk and early bedtime.

I know a Huckleberry.

It was a surprise to hear when the birth was announced but I got used to it very quickly. It suits him, his family and their lifestyle.

But I can't deny it is on the more unusual side.

Have you been watching Scandal that's where I've heard Huck I mean he dissects people so it's not something I'd want to call a baby ! and it sounds a bit silly.

Pickledperr · 18/02/2024 20:26

You could do worse. Why is Peregrine acceptable but Huckleberry isn't? We knew several in London born to left leaning outdoorsy no-screen types.

greendaisie · 18/02/2024 21:44

Doesn't Bear Gryllis have a Huckleberry?

EsmeShelby · 18/02/2024 21:45

It's hormones. don't do it.

MaloneMeadow · 18/02/2024 22:33

Sounds like the sound of someone coughing up a bit of phlegm.. lovely

putonaredlamp · 18/02/2024 23:11

Aaaaaah ok I get it it's a no 🤣🤣
I think it must be hormones. I wish it wasn't all so juvenile though with fuck etc but I do know that that would 100.% be the reality.

Ig only I lived in the Deep South somewhere, although surely it still rhymes with fuck 🤷‍♀️

I like some of the other suggestions, Rhett, Hank/Henry, Huxley I'm not so sure, it's not really my style but then also I obviously can't be trusted 🤣

How about Hal or Hank (short for Henry). Both have the same vibe but less 'out there.'

JustRollWithIt · 19/02/2024 06:36

Spotted a couple of Hank suggestions. Defin don't go for Hank Huck (Thank Fuck) OR Huck Hank the Fuck Wank.
