Live in the uk for context. I feel like if we lived in America it would be fine!
It's just such a sweet name, Huckleberry. But he'd definitely hate me right?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ShadowOfTheSeason · 17/02/2024 23:01

Great for a dog!

Ellmau · 17/02/2024 23:02

You do know what it rhymes with?

fruitbrewhaha · 17/02/2024 23:02

Huck no

User19798 · 17/02/2024 23:04

I know a man called Huck, he lives in Mississippi as is appropriate.

PiggieWig · 17/02/2024 23:05

How about Hudson?

I love Huck in theory, but the kid has to live with this name forever, so sorry.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 17/02/2024 23:06

Huck is not a name, it is the noise one makes when clearing one's throat.

Well, it ought not to be a name.

DodgeDog · 17/02/2024 23:07

Mac or Jack

PermanentTemporary · 17/02/2024 23:08

I really... don't think so, sorry. At this stage I was all set to call ds Red. We did not call him Red.

ProcrastinatingWithVipers · 17/02/2024 23:14

Hormones!

It makes me think of the noise Goofy makes!

littlemousebigcheese · 17/02/2024 23:14

Love it!

Ilovesandwiches · 18/02/2024 00:45

Nooooo!x

Moveoverdarlin · 18/02/2024 00:47

What in the actual Huck are you thinking?

MidnightSerenader · 18/02/2024 00:47

It’s a nickname, not an actual name!!

Babla · 18/02/2024 00:47

It's a no from me

FloopyMango · 18/02/2024 00:48

Beavis and Butthead huck a logie?

DiscoBeat · 18/02/2024 00:53

You know what they'll call him at school. Just don't!

NoraLuka · 18/02/2024 00:56

Huckleberry is quite nice, better than Huck on its own but if the lad is going to live in the UK, then prob best not.

It’s hormones, it will go away.

At one stage I liked Meriadoc for a boy (hobbit) and Cydonia for a girl (ancient city, fruit tree, area of Mars).

GregoryFluff · 18/02/2024 03:38

There was a Dad in Butlins loudly parenting his 2 boys back in October - a toddler Atticus and a baby Huckleberry
I won't lie, DH and I raised an eyebrow

LauderSyme · 18/02/2024 04:16

@GregoryFluff I won't lie, DH and I raised an eyebrow

What, only one eyebrow between you?!

Please don't go for Huck. You don't want your child to be living, breathing Cockney rhyming slang.

youmustrememberthis · 18/02/2024 04:59

This can't be serious, it's awful

Nearlythere80 · 18/02/2024 05:10

Huck no. No man can be called that, or any name with berry in it

Olika · 18/02/2024 05:14

No!

Scottyme · 18/02/2024 05:15

Its hormones sorry! Otherwise will be interesting navigating the toddler years. What is your name? Fuck, duck, suck, buck, luck, muck, ruck, Puck tuck, yuck...

Ghuunvg · 18/02/2024 05:30

If you are giving birth to a 60 year old sheriff then sure

Synergies · 18/02/2024 05:42

How about Hux (Huxley)
