Weirdest name you've encountered in real life?

Slightly piggy backing off another thread in this topic but just really curious about this.

Obviously we've all heard of some very unusual suggestions on this site and we can all think of a celeb that's opted for something very unique but in your day to day life what would you say is most unusual you've come across?

For me it'd probably be Maverick for a boy and Lavender-Lily for a girl.

@Stillthewrongsideof40 what's wrong with Charlie? it's a very common nickname for Charlotte.

Absolutely nothing, I think it’s a great name, I didn’t know it was short for Charlotte, the girl I knew was definitely just called Charlie and not short for anything.

Michael, doesn’t sound too bad until
you hear that his surname was also Michael. The guy was called Michael Michael. I really wanted to ask if he had a middle name..

His middle name was probably Michael too. Grin

I also see soooo many bloody weird spellings of lovely names. It’s so odd to choose a lovely name then spell it so strangely, that child will spend their entire life spelling it out!

They give them a weird spelling so that the name is then you-neeque.

I knew a Candida, would be in her fifties now.... My mum had to explain why she sniggered every time her name was mentioned. Hellofa conversation that 🤣

Sodie · 21/11/2023 21:43

My son is Moon Silver Starr. But he wasn't registered that name, he was (and I cringe that my husband pushed me into this) registered after all four beatles. First name as Lennon-McCartney then Harrison Starr as his middle names. But my daughter called him Moon the day he was born and it just stuck, and after a month he became Moon. We changed it officially and kept Starr and he chose to add Silver. I'm not the baby name troll 😂

Malarandras · 21/11/2023 21:43

Ibroxanne. Her parents were massive Rangers fans.
