Francesca

theduchessofspork · 07/11/2023 20:15

Julia is my favourite
Or Francesca second choice

Louisa is nice but maybe mildly prissy

Sophia has been done to death so I’d drop that

coldcallerbaiter · 07/11/2023 20:15

Like them all

Justcallmebebes · 07/11/2023 20:17

My name is one of those. I love Francesca. Which isn't my name

MrsCuthbertson · 07/11/2023 20:17

Louisa

Missingmyusername · 07/11/2023 20:18

Sophia

I know a Franny and I really don’t like it. I’d pick Freya over Fran.

PragmaticWench · 07/11/2023 20:18

Julia, Francesca or Freya.

Kitkat1523 · 07/11/2023 20:21

Louisa is really lovely

FayCarew · 07/11/2023 20:22

Julia - classic, suits any age. Don't like Jools/Jules
Louisa - nice, works in different languages. Prefer Louise
Sophia - overused. Prefer Sophie
Francesca - ok, bit frilly. Not keen on Frankie or Ches/Chesca
Freya - don't like it. overused

Would only pick Louise(/a). Already a Sophie in the family. Julia is probably the nicest but see above.

Julia 👌

AdaColeman · 07/11/2023 20:27

All are very pretty names, Francesca is my favourite.

Louisa and Freya would also be high on my list.

Sophia (and all its variations) is hugely popular so there are already thousands of them. While Julia is lovely, I'm not as keen on the nicknames such as Jules.

Love Louisa and Francesca.
Not Sophia. Bit Footballers Wives.

HoHoHoliday · 07/11/2023 20:31

Julia and Freya - I love them both, so pretty.

Louisa and Sophia - Also nice but personally I prefer Louise and Sophie.

Francesca - I just cannot like it, I don't know why, one of the few names I dislike.

whiteroseredrose · 07/11/2023 20:33

I like all of them

Xyyxxx · 07/11/2023 20:43

I'm a Julia and I've never been called Jules in my life

salcombebabe · 07/11/2023 21:02

I’m a Julia too and only my Mum called me Jules, I’m always called Julia. I love my name as there aren’t many of us!

FriendsReunited · 07/11/2023 21:10

All lovely but Sophia is very overused.

Of those I’d go for Julia or Francesca.

I also love Julietta…

Cincinnatus · 07/11/2023 21:13

Julia!

MaloneMeadow · 07/11/2023 21:14

Francesca is my favourite by far! Love Cesca as a nickname too

I like Sophia as well but feel it’s a bit too popular these days

Not keen on Louisa or Julia

Freya is awful, too frilly and wet

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 09/11/2023 01:26

Julia - no contest (am biased 😂and have never been called Jules either- I don't think it's an automatic shortening for people?). I love that Julia is classic and so international yet not overly popular here in the UK.

Second choice is elegant Louisa - but I'm not keen on the potential nn "Loo" (worse than Jules imo!)

Sophia is also gorgeous but so popular at the moment (by the time you add in all the Sofia's and Sophie's too it must be close to the top name).

Freya has a lovely sound but also feels a bit 90's to me, and Francesca the same somehow.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 09/11/2023 01:27

Would add Claudia, Helena and Cecilia to the same style of name? ie. International, elegant and fairly classic.

Aria999 · 09/11/2023 02:04

Julia

LilyLemonade · 09/11/2023 09:21

All nice. I like Francesca best. I prefer Louise, Sophie to the -an endings.

What about

Miranda
Antonia
Daphne
Helena
Sabrina

TotalOverhaul · 09/11/2023 09:24

I adore Sophia. All time favourite girl's name.
Francesca is beautiful and I like but don't love Louisa. (Can't get past the Loo sound which makes me think of toilets!)
For some reason I hate the name Julia and always have, even though it sounds pretty. I've never met an easy Julia. The ones I've met have all been difficult and temperamental and neurotic.
