Julia, Louisa, Sophia, Francesca?

I'm looking for any opinions on these names...

Julia
Louisa
Sophia
Francesca
Freya

What do you think?

Julia is my favourite, it's classic, simple and lovely but not too common. I also really like Francesca.

Quite like Louisa and Sophia (although that one is overly popular right now).

Not mad on Freya really, although it's fine.

I don't like Freya either,@MrsB74 . Like many names, when I only knew one, thought it was fine because it was different, but when it became popular it had lost its appeal. I feel the same about Chloe and Ava.

Love Julia and Louisa. Really like Freya and Sophia (but I prefer Sophie). I’m not keen on Francesca.

I think they're all lovely - less keen on Sophia because of its popularity. I'm always surprised at the lack of Julias (popular when I was at school - several in my year, born in 1969) as it's such a pretty name.

Julia - old fashioned
Louisa - prefer Louise
Sophia - will always get mixed up with Sophie, often Sof, which I hate
Francesca - loads of potential nicknames, most of which I dislike
Freya - nice name but has to suit the child.

We have a Louisa (age 15).....and I been teaching now for 20 years and have never taught one. She's never had another one in any of her classes. So Louisa all the way!

I feel like Julia is quite old fashioned so am surprised it is well liked here! My preference out of those would be Sophia, Louisa or Freya.

Julia.Good friend has never been called Jules!

all are good names. I love Francesca best. Such a beautiful name which has been around for centuries. Juliet is also beautiful and under used which is similar to Julia (although Julia is also lovely).
