Sorry if this post has already been done but I'm interested to know which names are most common in your child's class and what year they are in.
My LG is in year 1 and the most common girls name is Ruby and the most common boys names are Jack and Oliver.

DresdenDoll · 12/10/2023 22:06

I think the only names there are more than one of in my DC's year groups are Archie, Harley, Naomi & Marcus.

PrancerandDancer · 12/10/2023 22:07

Year 2 - Evie and Seb. Well one is Seb, one is Sebastian.

In the rest of school popular names are Noah, Issy (or variation), Teddy (or variation) and Scarlett.

DS is in Y3, there aren’t any duplicate boys in his class but there are two Molly and one Milly.

DD in Y7 has two girls called Tallulah in her class and two boys called Oliver.

PrancerandDancer · 12/10/2023 22:07

Oh and Alfie and George

fyn · 12/10/2023 22:07

Ottilie and Rupert, it’s a good job DD2 was a girl because she’d have been another Rupert!

GingerLiberalFeminist · 12/10/2023 22:07

Under 2s (you didn't ask but it's interesting comparison!)

Arthur, Arlo and Ollie/Oliver
Elsie, Evelyn, Margot

That's across all baby groups (I do six a week!)

morag1234 · 12/10/2023 22:09

Hallie, Jac, Thomas

scotstarstrikestwo · 12/10/2023 22:10

70 primary 2s and the the only duplicates are 2 Andrews, 2 lily's, 2 Finlays and 2 olivias

JassyRadlett · 12/10/2023 22:10

No duplicates in the class but across the year group there are two Charlies, two Sophias and two Emilys.

Yourebeingtooloud · 12/10/2023 22:11

The only duplicate in our school is Charlie. There are tonnes of them! A couple of Victorias. Other than that all names are unique (a small very multicultural school).

Stokey · 12/10/2023 22:11

Y7 - only one that are the same that I've heard are Ethan and Amelia. But there are a lot of similar sounding girls names around the Evie, Elsie, Edie, Ada, Isla, Orla, Ella ilk.

Y9 - 2 Jessica's, Sophie's and Luca

cravingmilkshake · 12/10/2023 22:12

Year R :

2 George's, 2 Alfie's and 2 Toby's

SallyWD · 12/10/2023 22:13

Common names from my children's years are:
Mia, Isla, Ella
Harry, Oscar, Reuben

Saggypants · 12/10/2023 22:15

I have 2 but they're similar ages, late teens

I'd say I hear Ella, Olivia, James and Jack the most.

pinkpanther84 · 12/10/2023 22:15

It’s fascinating, particularly all the Edwardian names - Teddy, Arthur, Connie, Elsie, Ruby, Lily
In our (boys) school it is as others have said: William, Freddie, Oliver, Harry…
