It's too much

jlpth · 13/08/2023 14:57

You could do Ava, but I think Ada is a bit much as it's the first three letters of the surname.

Or Alice

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 13/08/2023 15:00

I think it's lovely actually! Rolls off the tongue and it's individual.

Mumoftwoinprimary · 13/08/2023 15:02

My husbands name is Fred Fredson. (Obviously not but you get the picture.)

He hates it and goes by his middle name.

Is he Edward Woodward? Grin

No it's ridiculous given that there are hundreds of names you could choose from. It would be very lazy to call her Ada Adams. Poor kid.

YourNameGoesHere · 13/08/2023 15:08

It sounds really silly to be honest and of all the names in the whole world you could pick it also sounds like you didn't really give it any thought at all.

Redburnett · 13/08/2023 15:09

No, and I'm not sure having 'AA' as initials is wise either........

HappyCatty · 13/08/2023 15:10

You could, but I wouldn't.

MrsTerryPratchett · 13/08/2023 15:11

Matching alliterative names is so twee. Just don't.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 13/08/2023 15:13

And people will pronounce it Ada Radams.

Duchessofspace · 13/08/2023 15:15

No it’s too much

watch the initials too - I’ve had a WCP ( surname was also Penny), WC, and a DICK recently …. Don’t call your son Douglas, Iain, Christopher … and then a surname beginning with K…..

SallyWD · 13/08/2023 15:21

Ida Adams? I much prefer Ida to Ada.

scotstarstrikestwo · 13/08/2023 15:23

My son is an AA and it sounds good. The A sounds in Ada and Adams are different so I think it sounds fine

TheYadaYada · 13/08/2023 15:24

No, awful.

StandingMyGround888 · 13/08/2023 15:25

Amazing, love it.

Not quite but you have the right idea!

TheDuchessOfMN · 13/08/2023 15:27

I think Ava Adams is lovely

PankWuffin · 13/08/2023 15:28

I knew a family called McWilliams who named all their first born sons William 😬.

It's 'a thing' in some families.

That said, I'm not keen on Ada Adams. If you live near London as I do though, Ada will sounds like Aaaaayyyyyy-DAH anyway so not that like Adams.

YoongiMarryMe · 13/08/2023 15:34

If you want her to be a superhero you should. So that’s a huge yes from me, love it!

EsmeShelby · 13/08/2023 15:34

I like it. She sounds like a super hero! Peter Parker, Bruce banner etc.

Belladonna56 · 13/08/2023 15:35

I wouldn't, to be honest. There are better choices.

fivelilducks · 13/08/2023 15:38

I actually love it

This.

webster1987 · 13/08/2023 15:44

I love it personally!
