Edie Adams is lovely

Hankthehonk · 14/08/2023 06:48

What about Adrienne? And you could call her Ada as a nickname, but the full name sounds better with Adams

Dotcheck · 14/08/2023 06:52

I actually like it. The A’s sound different enough ( A da Ahdams )
I think Ada Smith( as a middle name) Adams would sound fabulous

lottiegarbanzo · 14/08/2023 06:52

Adele, Adelaide or Adrienne as middle names would work e.g. 'Maisie Adelaide Adams'.

Will vowel running into vowel of a...A though, people will insert another sound between, mostly an R. Ader Adams.

But AA initials? Well, um 'alky' and 'battery' come to mind as potential nns.

lottiegarbanzo · 14/08/2023 06:57

So many of your names end with an 'a' and that just won't work.

You need a first name ending with a consonant sound, ideally.

Having said that, Edie Adams is ok. Whereas Astrid Adams has too much repetition and would sound like Astrih Dadams.

Adams-Smith or Smith-Adams both work well as hyphenated names. Just saying.....

Icycloud · 14/08/2023 07:34

It’s too much

clpsmum · 14/08/2023 08:07

I love it

Bluejaybean · 14/08/2023 08:30

I like the double A but Ada Adams is too much because the first 3 letters are the same.

What about Annie or Ava?

Mummy2C · 14/08/2023 09:25

If you like the name go with it. She may one day change her sir name. You could include a middle name too.

Forgoodnesssakewhatnow · 14/08/2023 09:26

I really like it.

Daphnis156 · 15/08/2023 20:43

Ada Adams- NO!
Sounds like a barmaid in a very low public house, or a fat old lady with curlers in her hair, and a fag hanging from her lips drinking neat gin.

Winnipeggy · 15/08/2023 20:51

I like it

JaninaDuszejko · 15/08/2023 20:52

I love that some people think 'superhero' and some think 'barmaid'. There's no point asking, the vote is split.

DuchessOfSausage · 15/08/2023 20:55

There are better names. How about Victoria, Amy, Geri, Nicola, Morticia or Wednesday?

Gremlins101 · 15/08/2023 21:00

I quite like it, and I think if you hadn't asked, I never would have questioned it. It's very cute sounding.

VivienneDelacroix · 15/08/2023 21:05

Love it.

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/08/2023 21:10

Wednesday

DuchessOfSausage · 15/08/2023 21:13

Geri was a bit sneaky. Grin

JamSandle · 15/08/2023 21:26

Of course. Reminds me of Amy Adams the actress.

stevalnamechanger · 15/08/2023 21:35
