No, it sounds like a stutter. “I’m Ada… Ada… Adams.” 😂

Get some imagination!

It is what she will think sounds good, not what you like, that matters here. And trust me she will not think Ada Adams sounds good.

shoopshoopdedoo · 13/08/2023 18:02

Not keen on Ada particularly, but especially not when it’s the first 3/5 of the surname. I quite like Ava Adam’s though!

Alicia (pronounced A-liss-ee-a)

Most underrated name

I'd have to have Adelaide Adams! (Calamity Jane fans will know)

springtome · 13/08/2023 18:45

I really like it. My only reservation would be having the same initials as her sister. I have the same initial as my mum and I hated her opening my post even though she was Mrs and I was miss and even when she re-married and changed her name she apparently still got post in her firmer name and not always Mrs...

Name is lovely though

DuchessOfSausage · 13/08/2023 18:56

Ada Radams

I was coming on to say similar! Then she can marry a Harry 😁

MouthShutNoseOut · 13/08/2023 20:30

So my friend gave me £30 for my birthday and her birthday is in a week? What do I get back? Seems pointless to be exchanging gifts at this point.

LadyGAgain · 13/08/2023 20:34

Love it!! She's dead cert to be a newsreader too!!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13/08/2023 20:35

Tanya1984 · 13/08/2023 16:59

Love it

You can call your baby whatever you want as it's your baby. Groups like this will be full of unsolicited opinions and different tastes too.

No one likes what we just called our son but he's not their son and it's not their decision x

How can the opinions be "unsolicited" when she's literally asking for opinions on a baby name thread ConfusedHmm duh!

continentallentil · 13/08/2023 20:54

I think it’s ok.

DigbyTheDigger · 13/08/2023 17:04

The two a’s in the middle run together in a really clunky way.

I agree, it just sounds awkward. And that you were too lazy to think of another name.

I'd go completely different - away from the alliterative altogether, especially if you already have one. Patterns of names for siblings always makes me think the parents want cutesy matching sets rather than individual, unique characters in their children.

Tiespin · 13/08/2023 20:56

It's great

HoliHormonalTigerLillyTheSecond · 13/08/2023 21:42

ProfessorInkling · 13/08/2023 21:59

Although I do know a James Jameson

PurpleButterflyWings · 13/08/2023 22:26

No.

FlamingoPrincess1977 · 13/08/2023 23:25

Thanks all.
lots to ponder. I’ve liked Ada since long before I knew the children would be “adams” I’d always imagined them having my name or double barrelled (I’m a smith)

Great name imo, really stands out (in a good way)! I love alliterative or assonant names though so may be biased. Ada Adams looks cool, but since it's pronounced "Ay-dah" rather than "Add-ah", it's hardly too soundalike/tongue-twisty.

Daffodilwoman · 14/08/2023 06:43

I knew an Adams family and both their children had awkward sounding names. Both first names ended with the letter A. I don’t think a name ending in the letter A works. It just rolls into one name so people will call her Adarradams all in one go.
Chose something else.

Daffodilwoman · 14/08/2023 06:44

By the way nothing wrong with alliterative names but not vowel heavy, doesn’t sound good.
