Would you like Christina for a baby girl?

Any associations?

Yes, lovely name

Iamnotwhatyouthinkiam · 21/04/2023 20:41

Aguilera

PappedOot · 21/04/2023 20:55

My favourite name! It’s lovely Star

Figgygal · 21/04/2023 20:57

Nothing wrong with it just feels a bit dated

KirstenBlest · 21/04/2023 20:57

Yes. It will probably get shortened - Tina is nice too.

strangerperson · 21/04/2023 21:06

Christina Yang 😍

fairycupcakes · 21/04/2023 21:08

A little dated but it’s lovely nonetheless :)

Holdontowhat · 21/04/2023 21:09

My first thought was Yang too 😁

Marymary987 · 21/04/2023 21:10

No, it’s very dated.

StopFeckingFaffing · 21/04/2023 21:12

I don't hate it but I can only picture a middle aged woman with the name rather than a baby

Same genre as Pauline, Patricia, Pamela and Susan

Lovestodrinkmilk · 21/04/2023 21:13

Lovely.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 21/04/2023 21:14

Prefer Christianne.

toastofthetown · 21/04/2023 21:15

It’s a bit dated and I don’t like Chris or Tina as nicknames.

JustMaggie · 21/04/2023 21:25

Lovely name!

I love Christina as a girl’s name. It’s pretty, classic and versatile. Sounds nice, and various nicknames are great -Chris, Chrissie, Christy, Tina.

Bunnywabbity · 21/04/2023 21:29

Like it. Also Christy.

ComeTheFuckOnBridgett · 21/04/2023 21:30

Its very old ladyish. Also hate Chris/Chrissy/any other shortened versions it will be cut down too (unless you were gonna push with Tina but even that's not great). Sorry.

BingoLingFucker · 21/04/2023 21:31

I like it. If anyone associates it with Cristina Yang, all the better!

PickledScrump · 21/04/2023 21:34

It’s very dated, no nice nicknames either.

Nalupa · 21/04/2023 21:35

I think of Christina Aguila, Christina the capoeira fighter from the Tekken games, and the Christina genital piercing. The last one isn't a good association to have so it's a bit ruined for me. It's a lovely name though, but feels a little dated to me. Christie is a middle name of a friend and I prefer that actually.

Nalupa · 21/04/2023 21:35

Aguilera

DustyLee123 · 21/04/2023 21:36

I think it’s lovely.

tealandteal · 21/04/2023 21:36

Cristina Yang! But maybe in 10 years no one will watch Greys Anatomy

KatWeasel · 21/04/2023 21:38

DH wanted to call our DC Christina

I didn't! I think it's dated and I don't like the things it gets shorted to - Chris, Chrissie, Tina, Tine etc.

Giraffeandtiger · 21/04/2023 21:48

Thanks all, very useful opinions!

So, do you think that Christina is "dated" or "classic" ?
