I met a Cove the other day. I can't recall if it was a boy or a girl baby. I think girl, but may be wrong.

I don't know what the phrase "You Old Cove" means....but I wouldn't say it's a name.

The first thing that comes to mind is ‘how do you spell that?’ will plague the life of the recipient.

How is it pronounced - like the bay, or with a stress on the last e ? Or in some other way ? Cove as a reference to an older gentleman is falling into disuse but it’s still there, which would put me off.
