Seem to have a shortlist we agree on. But I have a favourite. Which do you prefer?

Blake
Finn
Isaac

We also like the name Lewin but middle name likely to be Lewis so that’s probably out.

Brother Harris and sister Cora.

Last name one syllable beginning with S.

Blake.

Lewis is too similar to Harris to be a first name I think (both in sound and origin).

CharlotteRose90 · 17/03/2023 13:33

Finn 100%

JamSandle · 17/03/2023 13:34

Blake or Finn

tulipsunday · 17/03/2023 13:36

Finn

TempsPerdu · 17/03/2023 13:38

Isaac

Daffodilfrog · 17/03/2023 13:42

I know all three - I like Blake - I’ve only ever met one

Newuser82 · 17/03/2023 13:44

Isaac!

sandstormboots · 17/03/2023 13:45

Finn

AlwaysLatte · 17/03/2023 13:47

Isaac followed by S surname is a bit of a mouthful
Blake and Harris look like you're deliberately choosing matchy surname-type names
So I'd go with Finn

Whatames · 17/03/2023 13:49

Blake

Isaac

Blake or Finn. Not keen on Isaac.

SoupDragon · 17/03/2023 16:10

Isaac or Finn. I really dislike Blake.

ourflagmeansdeath · 17/03/2023 18:05

Blake

DramaAlpaca · 17/03/2023 18:08

I love Blake and Finn.

I really dislike Isaac, and as can be seen from this thread lots of people can't spell it.

EmilyGilmoresSass · 17/03/2023 18:13

None (sorry!)

Inastatus · 17/03/2023 18:15

Blake, Finn and Isaac in that order.

MyEasterEggs · 17/03/2023 20:16

Why do people bother their arses to comment if they don’t like any? So mean spirited.

Thanks to those of you who have shared your thoughts helpfully! It’s great to get so much feedback.

Lewis will most definitely be a middle name since it’s too close to Harris (both being islands and surnames).

I think it’s a pretty even split between all three but I’m glad I asked because Blake is my favourite, Isaac is my OHs favourite, and Finn is kind of like the happy middle ground. I’m not so sure about Finlay though I agree Finlay Lewis is probably better than Finn Lewis.

We’ll probably struggle to find a name we both love as much as Cora. We’ve disagreed on so much!

Isaac

Goodnewsday · 17/03/2023 20:18

how weird I just thought how much I like your list then read down and your child is called the same as mine 😂 we must have similar taste! We’re having a girl but if we were having a boy it was going to be Finn. I have always loved Blake too though and like it for boy or girl

Goodnewsday · 17/03/2023 20:20

Just read your last update.. I’d go Blake if that’s your favourite and I think (where I am anyway) it’s less commonly used than Finn. Finn is lovely but I think we didn’t go for it last time as I felt like it was ‘nice’ but just not wowing me enough to actually pick it, we would have used it this time though

leli · 17/03/2023 20:26

Love Isaac

readingisgreat · 17/03/2023 20:28

Finnegan Lewis is my favourite.
Blake Lewis is 2nd favourite.

I don't like Isaac.

MyEasterEggs · 17/03/2023 20:37

@Goodnewsday I’m struggling with the idea of going with a name we don’t love like we did Cora and Harris. Cora is still relatively uncommon though has crept up popularity and Harris wasn’t so common 7 years ago. Think it’s no 5 in Scotland now. We just can’t seem to agree on anything atm but Blake Lewis and maybe Finn Lewis could work. I suggested Finnan but he wasn’t keen. He thinks I’m just making names up now lol but I really have tried 😅
