Following on from another thread where a poster is the same age as myself but didn’t know anyone called Phoebe (yet I know of loads my age)

I thought it would be interesting to see what the most popular names in your year groups/friends were, depending on peoples locations.

So for example: I was born in the mid 90’s, South London and I grew up with loads of:

Sophia
Grace
Phoebe
Molly
Lily

Jack
Tom
Joe
Sam
Max

See I wouldn’t say any of your girls names were particular popular in the 90’s. You must have been in an odd pocket. It was all:

Chloe
Jessica
Hannah
Emily
Lauren
Sophie

for boys it’s
Jack
Ryan
Dan
Etc

housemaus · 16/03/2023 14:40

The people I was friends with at school:

Hannah, Laura, Lucy, Kate, Beth, Lauren, Ellie, Jess, Chloe, Vicky, Keira, Anna, Emma.

Matt, Nick, James, Ben, Jake, Steven, Andrew, Tom, Lee, Ryan, Joe.

Born very late 80s, North West!

I do know girls with all of those names (except Chloe actually which is odd, they were all a few years older) but yes seems an odd pocket.

I forgot Ben off the boys list. So many Benjamin's.
