Before Amazon ruined it, I'd have said Alexa!!

Now, Elodie or Eloise

Frizzyflump · 11/03/2023 18:55

Love a lot of the names listed. My name has been said a few times which is lovely as growing up I was the only one.
The names I loved and have used for either pets or DD or would’ve used for my son had he been a girl or would have used if we had a third (not listed in that order) are:
Zsofia, Esther, Camille, Margot, Juliana, Isadora, Gretta, , Lana, Astrid Lili and Calliope.

Both my girls names have been mentioned on here several times. If I were to have another girl (not happening!) I really love the name Clementine.

I love my daughter's name - Mia, but I know it's really common now.

LaDamaDeElche · 11/03/2023 19:01

Oh and Esme is nice too.

Except Sophie, Emma and Catherine/Katie, all the names on this thread are hideous 😬Sorry

If you have nothing nice to say then maybe don't say anything at all.

Isolde or Ariadne

Isolde is lovely

TiredSloth · 11/03/2023 19:03

I sometimes wonder why Circe isn’t really used at all. I think it’s lovely.

My daughter’s name has been mentioned in a lovely comment 🥰.

LaDamaDeElche · 11/03/2023 19:05

Claudia pronounced the Spanish way is lovely too.

Constance - my daughter's name. Other names I love:
Temperance
Ottillie
Ottoline
Elfrieda
Nancy
Lettice (I know, I know!)
Hadassah
Shoshannah
Zipporah
Coralie
Vienna
Cecily

Ooh we considered Temperance if either of our DCs had been girls.

I also loved Deliverance (from a book Deliverance Dane which I thought was an exceptional name).

I adore Leveret. Also from a book.

When I was a child the librarian in our town was called Sweetlove. I thought it was bizarre at the time but really like it now. Also like Loveday.

Fanacapan · 11/03/2023 19:08

Elowen - it’s Cornish

Soapnutty · 11/03/2023 19:09

It’s not an unusual name but I have always liked Anna.

Stripeybee · 11/03/2023 19:10

Ha my name is Juliette and I hated it until I was about 25! I spent my whole childhood being asked “where’s Romeo?”

JaneyB321 · 11/03/2023 19:10

My daughter is named Katherine, we call her Katie but it's great that she has the choice. Katherine always looks very classy on official documents 😍

Didn’t you all name your first daughter (if you have) your favourite name?

Two sons.

I have a goddaughter Elowen. Had never heard it before and love it very much.

tunamayo81 · 11/03/2023 19:11

Zara but we are white and i think it’s more of an Asian name.

sixtiesbaby88 · 11/03/2023 19:14

Helen
Jane
Nancy
Gloria

Strangely, some couple decide on names they both like and it’s not all about one parent’s choice.
