Hamish, Rory or Ivo

Im almost due and struggling to decide between the three names above. I think I prefer Hamish and Rory to Ivo but not sure which. Surname is one syllable, Scottish (but we don’t live in Scotland) and fairly common.

Hamish, it's nice.
Rory sounds awful if you can't say R, and quite a few young children struggle with it.
The Ivo i know says it as Eevo, but I think the Eye-vo pronunciation is also used.

To answer your question, I'd go Rory or Ivo as I know two little Hamish boys, and I prefer a slightly less popular name.

I personally couldn't use Ivo as it was the name of my secondary school lol.

I think Hamish is the nicest. Also quite like Ivo but I'm not sure if it's a bit posh?

Rory gets my vote (I have a Rory!) but also love Ivo

I don't like Hamish. It seems popular on MN but I'm not so sure in the wider world. I'm not familiar with Ivo and think there may be issues with how to pronounce it as I would say eye-vo but above someone says ee-vo, or maybe it's just me that's not come across it before. My vote would be Rory.

I can't pronounce Rory and Ivo is pronounced ee-bo where I live (yes, with a B).

So, Hamish for me. It's a lovely name.

Hamish is a particularly ugly name.

Rory is my favourite of these think it's a lovely name.

I'd go for Ivo over Hamish but that's just down to personal associations both are nice names.
