Baby names

Cute but "spunky" baby girl name suggestions needed!

Okay, I have quite specific requirements for baby girl 2 but haven't come across "the one" yet.

I like: Amber, Phoebe, Matilda,

I like names that are easily spelled/pronounced, but not top 10, have a little bit of an edge and could stand the test of time. Ideally around 5-8 letters and not end in the letter Y.

Other names I like: Luna, Maeve, Eden.

But none standing out yet. Suggestions welcome!

Beatrix …..love Bea as a nickname too! Means ‘blessed voyager’ which I think conjures up lovely ideas of her travelling around having exciting adventures when older!

Rocksludge · 23/11/2022 07:48

I was going to say Astrid too.

Or Ebba.
Nora.

Do not call your daughter Tesla.

The problem is "spunky" is so subjective. I would have said Matilda is the opposite of spunky but it depends on if you've met a Matilda before and her personality.

Lawandsawdus · 23/11/2022 07:59

Haven’t got any new names but just to stay if someone hasn’t come across it Maeve isn’t that easy to spell. OTOH it is quite a common (often used) name.

I don't think Amber, Phoebe or Matilda are spunky (but they are nice).

I always liked Sasha for a girl though I know its originally a boys name (nick name for Alexander). I think it has a certain energy.

Inasec24 · 23/11/2022 08:21

I also like Viva and Vida but maybe a bit out there.

In my imaginary life I would have a Sylvia with the nickname Viva
