Thoughts on Trevor

I get the feeling this is one mumsnet might have a fit over but it's the only one DH and I both really like.

I wanted something not in the top 100 but also not 'unique' and it seems like a good middle ground? It's heard of but not popular.

Middle name would be Erik after my father. Honest thoughts?

Not for me I'm afraid. I know a Trevor who gave his son the name Travis which I think is pretty nice tbh. I like Erik though.

Gigihulu · 01/10/2022 20:20

I love it. I've known a lot of Trevor's and they've always been great guys

trevthecat · 01/10/2022 20:20

It's our cats name!

feckoffbrian · 01/10/2022 20:21

It's up there with Barry and Ian.

Nope.

KirstenBlest · 01/10/2022 20:22

I like it

Bootsandcat · 01/10/2022 20:22

No thank you

LimpBiskit · 01/10/2022 20:22

Trev.....err no.

Rachaelrachael · 01/10/2022 20:22

Erm... sorry it's a no from me

VroomVrooom · 01/10/2022 20:23

I say go for it.

You're probably just ahead of the curve.

By the time he’s in his 20s, there’ll be loads of baby Tevors, and he’ll be way cooler than the yawnsome Archies, Harrys, Maxs and Alfies.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 01/10/2022 20:23

It was dreadful the first time round and it hasn’t got any better with age.

BuffaloCauliflower · 01/10/2022 20:23

My first thought is no way, but actually if I met a little Trevor I’d think it was really cute.

Lampzade · 01/10/2022 20:23

Nope

FleeUpFreeTime · 01/10/2022 20:24

Trevor Jordache buried under the patio in Brookie

CaptainCallisto · 01/10/2022 20:25

I like it. My next door neighbour growing up was called Trevor and he was lovely, so I've only got positive associations with it. I've also known two Welsh Trefors and they were both great blokes too.

BlackberryCat · 01/10/2022 20:25

I met a little boy called Trevor the other day. I guess names really do circle back into fashion.

TooBigForMyBoots · 01/10/2022 20:26

I knew a Trevor. Did chemistry at uni, is serving a long stretch for cooking meth.

JustJustWhy · 01/10/2022 20:26

Oooof no.

Divebar2021 · 01/10/2022 20:27

I don’t think I’ve met a Trevor since the 80’s. My associations are not good im
afraid.

Luredbyapomegranate · 01/10/2022 20:27

It’s completely terrible

It’s a cheesy Del Boy / crap footballer 60s/70s name. I am sure it will get revived in 20 years but it’s time is not yet.

Luredbyapomegranate · 01/10/2022 20:27

ITS

midsomermurderess · 01/10/2022 21:40

‘Knock me down with a feather …’ comes to mind. But oddly, I do t actually dislike it.

Brendabigbaps · 01/10/2022 21:41

Sorry, no

Epicstorm · 01/10/2022 21:44

Nooooo. Sorry. It’s awful.

S25 · 01/10/2022 22:34

Erik is cute!

Trevor, not sure much. Brings to mind someone in their 60s like a Barry, Steve, Dave kind of name.

Cats23 · 01/10/2022 22:39

No, awful
