Is Lydia a nice name

Baby girl is already here and still not 100% settled on a name..
We are leaning towards Lydia (middle name Hope) but something is not clicking, we keep doubting it for some reason.
My partner really likes Willow which is a lovely name but I have a few reservations.
Other than that we don't have a lot of other options!

Any opinions on Lydia would be great!

Lydia and Willow are both lovely- I’ve met lots of little Willows but no Lydias, if you prefer something uncommon.

Lydia is a very good name. Willow isn't.

Lydia is a better name than Willow.

I think it’s very pretty. So is Willow, but out of the two I would probably choose Lydia because I’ve looked after a lot of little girls named Willow and never met a Lydia! I can’t even really think of a Lydia on a popular TV show or anything except the one in Teen Wolf. So I think it’s quite unusual compared with Willow. Hope is a very nice middle name too!

Lydia is lovely and very classic. Willow is pretty but will date like crazy as it’s a trend. Lydia Hope is a beautiful combination. What are your reservations?
What about Livia as an alternative?

I like it but my Husband hates it. He says it’s too close to Linda and that’s all he hears. So I suppose it’s personal choice .

It’s pretty enough, but my mind jumps to Aunt Lydia in Handmaid’s Tale.

I agree that Willow is really going to date.
Lydia is a bit more classical.

I have a Lydia, so I am biased!
We have very rary encounter another Lydia, so it is rather straight forward to find her in groups.
It is a beautiful name in my opinion.

I don’t like Lydia or Willow, tbh. They are both a bit wet and feeble.

I know a couple of Lydias, both teenagers now and sadly both known as Lyds. But I do like the full version.
