Elvie - what could it be short for?

Love this nickname for a little girl, but we like nickname sounding names to have a more official sounding actual name for the birth certificate. I've thought of Evelyn but not overly keen on it. Ideas?

Why does it need to a nickname? Just use that as the name.

Use the name if that's what you want to call your child. Whatever you call them there's a good chance people will create their own nicknames - you might not get to dictate that.

My first thought was also the breast pump but presumably this wouldn’t be the case for a primary school class!

Elva, one of my favourite names and so underused

DD1 has a friend called Elvie. She’s French. I hadn’t heard of either the breast pump or the pelvic floor thing!
