Elvie - what could it be short for?

Love this nickname for a little girl, but we like nickname sounding names to have a more official sounding actual name for the birth certificate. I've thought of Evelyn but not overly keen on it. Ideas?

Isn't Elvie a fancy brand breast pump? Apologies if I made that up. I do like the name though. I don't think you need a longer name personally.

If you like it, why not just use it.

Elfrida is lovely though.

Elizabeth? It seems to have about 100 short versions that make varying degrees of sense so I don't see why Elvie couldn't be one.

I'd go with Elva though

I immediately thought of the insurance company, Liverpool Victoria, which now calls itself just by its initials, Ell Vee. (Sounding just like Elvie, Ellvie, Elvi etc)
