Just found out that baby number two is a boy! Very excited, except about the prospect of naming him.
DH and I struggled a lot to agree on boys' names for DS1. We have a lot of criteria:
- I am Jewish, so no names of living relatives or friends. This rules out a lot of names.
- No names in top 20, as DH grew up "John K" and hated it (not his real name).
- I am Canadian and a lot of names that I find normal aren't really suitable in the UK. DH is British, same story for in Canada.
- Our surname is a misspelt household object. Any kind of adjective or noun-type name sounds ridiculous.
We are also very picky, it seems. Here is our current list of possibilities, but we're not sold on any of them:
Lennox
Ford
Scott
Geoffrey
I quite like Gerard (Gerry), Linus, and Gilbert (Gill), but these have all been vetoed by DH.
Could anyone please offer any ideas or opinions on the current contenders? Thank you!
