Looking for an uncommon boys' name...again

Just found out that baby number two is a boy! Very excited, except about the prospect of naming him.

DH and I struggled a lot to agree on boys' names for DS1. We have a lot of criteria:

1. I am Jewish, so no names of living relatives or friends. This rules out a lot of names.
2. No names in top 20, as DH grew up "John K" and hated it (not his real name).
3. I am Canadian and a lot of names that I find normal aren't really suitable in the UK. DH is British, same story for in Canada.
4. Our surname is a misspelt household object. Any kind of adjective or noun-type name sounds ridiculous.

We are also very picky, it seems. Here is our current list of possibilities, but we're not sold on any of them:
Lennox
Ford
Scott
Geoffrey

I quite like Gerard (Gerry), Linus, and Gilbert (Gill), but these have all been vetoed by DH.

Could anyone please offer any ideas or opinions on the current contenders? Thank you!

Adam? (You hardly hear any nowadays).

Adam is very popular in areas of the country where there is a higher muslim population

Linus, for me, is forever the Snoopy character sucking his thumb and dragging his blanket.

The name Adam is gorgeous. Unfortunately, it is the name of a particularly nasty ex.

I like Wyatt and Jeremy, but they are relatives.

Am I the only one that finds it ridiculous the way prospective parents get their knickers in a twist over their kids names? In the scheme of things there are a million other far more important issues you need to think about and plan for as a parent - a name, however carefully chosen is not going to make much difference to the uniqueness, success or happiness of your child compared to just about every other thing you do as a parent - call him Pi, Pylon or Pentagon, Muesli, Mu or Lebanon, Xenon , Diphthong or Hapax Legomenon if it makes you feel any better. I think your list of exclusions is ridiculous TBH - you've just made a job that should be a joyous thing into a complex almost insoluble problem - is this how you intend to parent?

Maybe avoid the baby names board if choosing baby names with care gets on your tits?
