Sophie or Fiona?

Stuck between these two, which would you choose and why?

I have a Fiona. She’s nine. It seemed like a simple classic name that was a bit Celtic in origin.

Fiona.
Because there is at least one Sophie/Sofia in every class I have been in for the last 2 decades. I haven't met a young Fiona since the 90's. And it is a lovely name, strong and historical. And everyone can pronounce it.

Fiona, much less common than Sophie.

Fiona would seem fresher on a baby as Sophies are ten a penny these days.

Oh is Fiona making a come back? It’s actually a really pretty name and not as common as Sophie.

Sophie edges it for me. But you wont go wrong with either.

There’s an equally large number of Fiona’s around, it’s not particularly unusual. There just aren’t many that are children! I don’t know that many Sophie’s either (more Sofia) I think both are nice, any go wrong with either really

Fiona, it's really lovely. Sophie is gorgeous too, but Fiona is much rarer now.

Sophie is more popular for a reason IMO. Although I prefer Sophia personally. Fiona is quite a hard sounding name I think and the only one I know is over 50.
