DoleWhipFloat · 29/10/2021 19:40

I pronounce it thee-ah.

Newmummy9 · 29/10/2021 19:40

I would pronounce it like you, although I’ve also heard it pronounced like your husband says it.

PanicBuyingSprouts · 29/10/2021 19:42

I would pronounce it the same way as you.

Does your DH have firm for mispronouncing names?

MajorCarolDanvers · 29/10/2021 19:42

AuditAngel · 29/10/2021 19:43

Mendingfences · 29/10/2021 19:44

TheGriffle · 29/10/2021 19:44

Like the first half of Theatre

PlainJane1000 · 29/10/2021 19:44

I know two who are both thee-a.

GiltEdges · 29/10/2021 19:45

I'd have said Tay-uh

willieversleep · 29/10/2021 19:46

I have a thee-ah

HunterHearstHelmsley · 29/10/2021 19:48

Like Theo with an "an" at the end instead.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 29/10/2021 19:48

An "ah" not "an".

iwishiwasafish · 29/10/2021 19:49

Tay-ah

EdgeOfTheSky · 29/10/2021 19:49

Either Th ee uh
Or
Taya

If in the UK of Brit parents, more likely the first.

purplesequins · 29/10/2021 19:50

tay-ah

SheWoreYellow · 29/10/2021 19:51

Thee ah

Tay a would be a non uk pronunciation.

ScrambledSmegs · 29/10/2021 19:51

Thee-ah.

LublinToDublin · 29/10/2021 19:52

I'd pronounce it like you OP
But be aware it might be taya. Weirdly I wouldn't have considered teeya

SpookyPumpkinPants · 29/10/2021 19:56

I'd pronounce it as someone else said -the beginning of Theatre.

Friends daughter is Tay-ah spelt Taya, but...

MayLeaveADentInYourSofa · 29/10/2021 19:58

Tee-a

HereWeGoAgains · 29/10/2021 20:02

Like Theo, but with an ‘a’. Th-ee-a

ozymandiusking · 29/10/2021 20:02

Put it into Google, and it brings up the sound of how it's pronounced.
Anyway it's Thea, like one poster said, like the beginning of Theatre.
Which sounds fine. anything else is odd.

ParmigianoReggiano · 29/10/2021 20:04

Tee-ah

EvilEdna1 · 29/10/2021 20:04

Fee-a because I am from North London.
