My great aunt was Tay-uh but that’s with a European heritage.

My grandma, same birth country, had Theadora as a middle name, pronounced Taya-dora.

I’d say Tay-uh out of habit if I’m honest

My Gran was German whose name was Dorothea and she pronounced it with a tea sound as no th in German. I'd normally prounce it with the th sound.

The only one I knew as a child was French, so Tay-a. But it's since become popular so most of the young ones I know are Thee-a.

I really only like the French pronunciation though!

Tay-ah is the French pronunciation (probably other regions too). Thee-ah is the Greek and most common British pronunciation. It can also be short for Dorothea, Althea, Dorothea which would all likely be the Thee-ah pronunciation too.

Thea is nearly always "Thee -ah" in the UK imo.

I haven't heard "Tee -ah", I thought that was spelt Tia.

"Tay -ah" sounds lovely but I'd expect it to be either spelt Taya or with an accent over the E in Thea. If you want that pronunciation you might like the very similar but rarer Ancient Greek Theia, usually pronounced "Thay-ah".

I have an Auntie Tey-a but all other Theas I know are Thee-a, with a soft "th" as in Seth, rather than the.

If that makes any sense.
