Predictions? (Not sure if this thread has been done yet?)

Isn't Roman a mners favourite? A long with Rowan. It's always suggested in here.
I'm surprised there aren't more names beginning with A. I think 'unique' spellings helps to distort the true picture sonewhat. So same name just a unique spelling makes it appear less popular. I thought Harper would be higher and Jaxs/Jaxon too.

CaffiSaliMali · 21/10/2021 08:25

I was surprised by Juliet falling in E&W - it's quite popular on here.

In 2019 Juliet was ranked at 590 and it's now fallen to 777 in 2020.

Juliette has risen slightly from 724 in 2019 to 704 in 2020.

Juliet is my top choice for a girl on my non-Welsh list but I thought it would start to rise based on how often it gets mentioned on these boards!

Dollywilde · 21/10/2021 08:53

@CaffiSaliMali Juliet’s on my list for DC due in May and I agree I was surprised by how low it was. My only hesitation is that I’m not a huge fan of Julie as a nickname as it feels slightly dated, maybe that’s holding people back?

Was certainly surprised it was lower than a couple of our more ‘out there’ choices (Genevieve, Tabitha)

If you combine the spellings Juliet and Juliette does that change the popularity much?

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 21/10/2021 09:19

@35andThriving

Juliet - #771, 47 babies Juliette - slightly more popular at #700, 53 babies

Combined count of 100 babies would put it around #426, alongside Aayat, Freyja, Iqra, and Lily-Mae.

Are these predictions? The data came out on Monday.

You were right about Archie - now top ten.

MerryChristmasToYou · 21/10/2021 09:32

Predictions for 2021 perhaps @ZoyaTheDestroyer, based on the names that come up on here. It was in reply to a pp, which wasn't obvious

I missed out surnames as first names - Hunter, Harper, Piper, Cooper, Casey, Riley....
