I like it. I think it is a very sweet name; classic and underused.

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/09/2021 13:40

Lovely. I haven't heard of a Mary in years.Smile

RoseGoldGlasses · 18/09/2021 13:44

I agree it's very sweet! I like it

yikesanotherbooboo · 18/09/2021 13:57

My favourite

AliceMcK · 18/09/2021 13:59

It’s one of my DDs middle names and I choose it as my confirmation name. I like it but it is a very strong family name for me and I love traditional family names.

MurielSpriggs · 18/09/2021 14:05

It used to be number 1 girls' name. Now she will be pretty much unique! I really like it. Beautiful and easy to spell.

(Until it has a full-on revival with Mairees and Mehrés Grin)

E11en · 18/09/2021 14:06

I like it and it will never be as ubiquitous as it once was, so it does sound a fresh choice now.

peaceinourtime · 18/09/2021 14:06

It's a classic and underused for sure. I knew one in primary school who is the only young Mary I've met.

KirstenBlest · 18/09/2021 14:07

Lovely.

Mybalconyiscracking · 18/09/2021 14:08

Beautiful, classic and easy to spell and say. She will grow up with some gravitas!

Flamingosnbears · 18/09/2021 14:08

Lovely classic name op

HappyVagabond · 18/09/2021 14:09

Too religious for me but I guess it's a nice name

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/09/2021 14:09

Beautiful name. Excellent choice 👌

ladygindiva · 18/09/2021 14:10

I know a 16 yo Mary. Lovely and unusual against all the Olivias , Chloes etc

TheGirlWhoLived · 18/09/2021 14:12

It’s a nice name, quite rare now but I would probably avoid if dd due around Xmas sorry

averylongtimeago · 18/09/2021 14:27

It's a lovely name

WoozySnoozy · 18/09/2021 14:30

Nice, stands out for not being too try hard to be different. A bit like Lucy, although that seems to be having a revival.

DramaAlpaca · 18/09/2021 14:32

Gorgeous name.

Once ubiquitous here in Ireland, it's rare and refreshing now. I love it.

Restinblue · 18/09/2021 14:32

Never liked it. Very old fashioned and prim. I know granny chic names have made a comeback and I’m not keen on them either eg Violet, Ivy, Elsie, Mabel.

piglet81 · 18/09/2021 14:32

Lovely name - classic and elegant. You could go for something elaborate as a middle name.

hapagirl · 18/09/2021 14:33

I love it!

Stickytreacle · 18/09/2021 14:58

Classic and lovely name.

RiotAtTheRodeo · 18/09/2021 15:34

It's my middle name and the middle name of every girl I grew up with. Too religious for me but if you're not a Catholic you won't have that same association.

rslsys · 18/09/2021 16:10

My mother was a Mary and so is DD3!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 18/09/2021 16:15

I find it a bit Catholic personally, not my cup of tea. But it’s unusual and rare these days without being difficult to spell or say, which is something.
