I love this name for a boy. But on Google searching about the name, it seems its now very popular as a girls name!

My question is, is Aubrey a gender neutral name, or will it soon be seen as a girls name??

If so, what other names might I like??

I would say it's gender neutral nowadays. My grandfather was called Aubrey and I always thought it was a nice unusual name 😊

I've only known two people with this name. Adults. Both girls. Both spend their lives saying "No, not Audrey. Like Audrey, but with a B"

It's gender neutral. I personally prefer it for a girl though.

It's a boys' name that is gradually turning into a girls' name in the same way that Hilary did.

I know a man in his 60's Aubrey and a little girl aged 4 Aubrie spelt that way

I know a baby girl called Aubrey but until then I thought it was a male name . I think there was a male artist called Aubrey Beardsley? But in America it's used for a girl I believe . There's an actress in modern family called Aubrey. I like that Aubrie spelling for a girl though .

I only know it as a girls name. I had no idea it was used for boys too. It only makes me think of the Teen Mom tv show.

It's a male name. I can't help but to think that any girls named Aubrey have parents who were thinking of Audrey.

It’s definitely a gender neutral name in the UK now, although I believe it was originally a male name. I just had a quick look on the darkgreener website and in 2019 Aubrey was no. 723 for males and no. 223 for females so definitely more popular for girls recently. Other boy suggestions, maybe Austin, Ernest, Louis or Maxwell?

I wanted to name my daughter Aubrey but DH vetoed it. I now have a cuddle toy called Aubrey instead 😂

I do know makes Aubreys though and think it suits both.
