Pip, Bruno, Caspian or Zebedee

Which do you prefer? (Spoiler alert: we LOVE unusual names.) Any nicknames for Bruno or Caspian that spring to mind? Or any other similar names you think we might like? Thanks!

For many of my generation Zebedee will always mean this.

I like them all too, especially Pip my children all have unusual names, the more other people don't like them just makes me love them more! They stand out from the crowd, what an advantage in life!!

Because Zebedee will for a lot of people forever be associated with a 1970s psychedelic children's TV character.

It would be like calling a child Peppa or Kermit.

DH has an ancestor born in 1788 called Zebulon...

@MondayYogurt I'm quite intrigued by it...I'm guessing they were religious as Zebulon / Zebulun was the 6th child of Jacob & Leah in the bible

We also have a Cave, Barwell, Anchitel, Sydenham, Norborn, Addington, Coulton & Oldcot. They definitely stand out amongst the hundreds of Johns, Williams and Thomas's.

Just thought of Huckleberry. I know a lovely one and he gets called Huckle, obviously .
I also like Peppa, regardless of the little pig.

What did you go for in the end? I know a Pip. He suits it and once you’ve heard it once, no one bats an eyelid.

Ive never got the ridiculous reaction to Zebedee. I love the sound of it. Why has Zebediah been offered instead? Why is that any better?

Caspian is a great name. Cas for short, lovely!

I like Caspian very much. Bruno is ok. I would choose Caspian, since I'm not crazy about the rest of these.

Hi all! Love seeing this thread pop up. We called him Fabian in the end, nickname Fabe or Fab. We also just had our second baby, another boy, called Inigo, nickname Inny or Ino.
